GARY D. BYRNE is executive vice president of Title Services of the Plains, LLC, with offices located in North Platte, Sidney, McCook, Grand Island, Columbus, Norfolk, Seward and York. Mr. Byrne also is president of North Platte Title Co., Inc. He is licensed to practice law in Nebraska and practices exclusively in the area of real estate. Mr. Byrne has spoken at numerous Nebraska Land Title Association continuing education seminars on title insurance and related activities. He received his B.A. degree from Hastings College and his J.D. degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Mr. Byrne is a member of the Nebraska and American bar associations. He also is a member of the Nebraska Board of Abstracters and past president of the Nebraska Land Title Association. R. KENT RADKE joined First Nebraska Title and Escrow Co. in November, 2007. He is currently serving as president of their Lincoln office which opened in late 2007 providing title and escrow closing services as well as 1031 services. Prior to joining First Nebraska, Mr. Radke served as Associate General Counsel for First Federal Savings Bank from 1974-1989 and then entered private practice in Lincoln, Nebraska from 1990-2002, specializing in real estate and bankruptcy practice. From 2002 through September 2006, Mr. Radke served as vice president of the commercial title department and general counsel for a Lincoln title company serving in that capacity until September 2006 when he was appointed President and General Counsel for the same company. Mr. Radke has more than 34 years of legal experience in commercial real estate and the title insurance industry. He has spoken at many NCLE seminars on various topics including real estate, bankruptcy, RESPA, 1031 transactions and the basics of title insurance. Mr. Radke received his J.D. degree from the University of Nebraska in 1974 and his B.A. degree from the University of Nebraska in 1971. JAMES D. SHERRETS is the managing partner at Sherrets Bruno & Vogt LLC, where he handles complex litigation matters, emphasizing the areas of real estate law, eminent domain, commercial litigation and construction law. He has spoken before various professional groups on topics relating to his areas of practice. Mr. Sherrets received his B.S. degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and his J.D. degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. Mr. Sherrets' practice has taken him to more than 20 states and he has been involved with more than 49 appellate court decisions in the state of Nebraska. He is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, The Colorado Bar Association and the Nebraska State Bar Association. JENNIFER J. TAYLOR is an associate with Smith, Gardner, Slusky, Lazer, Pohren & Rogers, LLP. She is a member of the Nebraska and Omaha bar associations. Ms. Taylor received her B.A. degree from Hamilton College and her J.D. degree from Creighton University School of Law. She is an event judge for the Nebraska DECA.
