CHRIS N. BRINK is claims counsel with Fidelity National Title Group in Omaha. Mr. Brink's practice involves resolving real estate, escrow, governmental and title insurance matters in more than 16 states. He participates in mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences and trials with full authority for resolution. Mr. Brink also has complete litigation management of active cases, including retention of local counsel; attending and directing initial case management and strategy conferences; thorough review and composition of responsive pleadings, discovery and pre-trial settlement negotiations, along with complete billing review and budget analysis; trial management of numerous cases in state, federal and bankruptcy court; post-trial strategy and appeal management on several pending cases; and completion responsibility for resolving claims and cases while maintaining cooperation of numerous parties involved in complex title and lending matters. Mr. Brink earned his B.S. degree in business administration from the University of Kansas and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Illinois College of Law. He is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (member, Copyright and Trademark Committee), the American Bar Association and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association. BRIAN P. DANIS is claims counsel for Fidelity National Title Group. Prior to his present position, Mr. Danis provided a full range of abilities in the defense of asbestos, personal injury, premises liability and product liability lawsuits for primarily corporate clients. In his present position, Mr. Danis resolves title insurance claims, deciding coverage after investigation and based on the terms and conditions of the title insurance contract. His practice also includes working with insureds, attorneys, title agents and bank executives to successfully conclude claims; retaining and managing outside counsel; and managing title claims litigation. Mr. Danis earned his B.A. degree from Indiana University in Bloomington and his J.D. degree from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago. CAMILLE R. HAWK is a partner with the law firm of Walentine, O' Toole, McQuillan & Gordon. Her main areas of practice are real estate and lending law, mortgage law, creditor rights, banking law, foreclosure law and collections. Ms. Hawk has taught several seminars covering the areas of foreclosure law, collection law and creditor-debtor relations. She also has written several articles relating to creditor rights. Ms. Hawk is a Leadership Omaha Class 30 graduate and a member of the Iowa and Nebraska State bar associations (past chair, Bank Attorneys Section). She also is a fellow of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation. Ms. Hawk earned her B.A. degree from Creighton University and her J.D. degree from Creighton University School of Law. ANNETTE KOVAR has a B.A. degree from the University of Nebraska and a J.D. degree from the University of Nebraska College of Law. She is legal counsel and supervises the legal division for the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality. The department is the state agency with responsibility for administering the state's water, air and solid waste pollution control laws and federally delegated programs under the Federal Clean Water, Clean Air, and Resource Conservation and Recovery Acts. The department also plays an important role under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act for superfund sites located in the state. Ms. Kovar currently serves on the executive committees of the Natural Resources and Environmental Law Section and Government Practice Section of the Nebraska State Bar Association. She also serves as the Nebraska Bar Association trustee for the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation. Ms. Kovar has been a contributing author of the LexisNexis publications Environmental Law Practice Guide and Brownfields Law and Practice: The Cleanup and Redevelopment of Contaminated Land and of the American Bar Association's Brownfields: A Comprehensive Guide to Redeveloping Contaminated Property.
