SCOTT CARRICO is an accounting and audit partner with Lutz & Company PC, where he focuses on accounting, compliance and consulting. He specializes in audits, reviews and compilations, consulting for monthly financial statement preparation and analysis, budgeting preparation and analysis, and general business consulting. Mr. Carrico serves a wide array of industries including leasing, real estate, wholesale distribution, manufacturing, service, retail, and technology. He is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Nebraska Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Carrico earned his BSBA degree from the University of Kansas. DOUGLAS W. SKILES has been a shareholder since 1981 with McPherron Skiles & Loop CPAs PC, a firm with four offices in southwest Nebraska. He graduated from University of Nebraska-Kearney with honors in 1977, receiving a comprehensive business major with a double emphasis in accounting and management. He has extensive background in taxation for individuals, corporations, partnerships, LLCs, estates and trusts. Mr. Skiles professional service includes serving as a member of the Nebraska Board of Public Accountancy since 2003, where he currently serves as the Chair of the Board. He has also chaired the Board's Education & Examination committee, and serves on the Legislative committee, which has just completed an extensive overhaul of Nebraska's Public Accountancy Act. He also serves on the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) Education Committee, which recently released new education and ethics requirements for the Uniform Accountancy Act. In addition to participating in disciplinary hearings for CPAs, Mr. Skiles has uncovered or investigated several fraud cases, testified as an auditor, an expert witness and served as a consulting expert. Mr. Skiles has served as an accounting instructor for University of Nebraska-Kearney and McCook Community College, continuing education instructor for Nebraska Real Estate Commission and Nebraska Insurance Commission and a panelist for CLE for the College of Law, UNL.
