AUSTIN M. CHESTNUT is an attorney with Shanahan Law Group, PLLC, where he concentrates his practice in the areas of wills and trusts; estate administration (probate); asset protection for businesses and individuals; estate and trust litigation; business transactions; business formations; and contract and business disputes. He earned his B.S. degree from North Carolina State University's College of Management and his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Campbell University. SNIDER JR. is a sole practitioner in Mebane, North Carolina. His main areas of practice are trusts and estates, taxation, and business law, and he is a previous lecturer in his areas of expertise. Mr. Snider is certified as a specialist in estate planning and probate law by the North Carolina State Bar. He is a North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission certified mediator in Superior Court, District Court, and before the clerk. Mr. Snider earned his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Cleveland State University. He is admitted to practice law in North Carolina; before the U.S. District Court, Middle and Eastern districts of North Carolina; and the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Snider is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association (Estate Planning and Dispute sections) and the District 15A Bar. CHARLES L. STEEL IV is a partner in the law firm of Williams Mullen, A Professional Corporation, where his practice consists of tax controversy matters; estate planning; and business transactions, with an emphasis on tax planning. He advises various business entities and start-up companies, mostly on tax planning issues. He also has experience in tax-exempt financing and is listed in the Red Book of bond lawyers. Mr. Steel has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America and recognized by Business North Carolina Magazine as one of the Legal Elite. He is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Bar Association, having served as chair of the NCBA Tax Section Council from 2002 to 2003. He is a past president of the Durham County Bar Association, and a director and past president of the Fourteenth Judicial District Bar. Mr. Steel is a member of the Planning Committee of the J. Nelson Young Tax Institute at the University of North Carolina School of Law and the executive committee of the North Carolina Conference of Bar Presidents. Mr. Steel earned his A.B. degree from Davidson College; his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law; and his LL.M. degree, in taxation, from New York University.
