PAUL T. FLICK is the managing partner of Jordan Price Wall Gray Jones & Carlton, PLLC in Raleigh, North Carolina. He primarily practices in business and commercial litigation and is a Certified Civil Superior Court Mediator specializing in business disputes. Mr. Flick is a frequent lecturer on ethics, creditors’ rights and civil practice. He earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from Wake Forest University. CHRISTINA FREEMAN PEARSALL is an associate with Schell Bray Aycock Abel & Livingston PLLC. Ms. Pearsall's main area of practice is transactional commercial real estate. She assists developers, property managers, individual and corporate investors, and other businesses with the acquisition, development, financing and sale of real property. Ms. Pearsall's work includes preparing organizational documents for entities, including partnerships and limited liability companies; reviewing and negotiating loan documents; examining titles; addressing due diligence matters; conducting closings; and ensuring compliance with like-kind exchange requirements. She has worked with various types of commercial properties, including shopping centers, multi-family projects, apartment complexes, industrial centers, and senior-living facilities. Ms. Pearsall also has considerable experience representing both landlords and tenants in negotiating and preparing commercial leases for retail, office, restaurant and industrial spaces. She earned her B.S.W. degree from The University of North Carolina; her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from North Carolina Central University School of Law; and her LL.M. degree in taxation from Boston University School of Law. DAVID L. HILLMAN is an associate with Williams Mullen, with the firm's finance and commercial real estate section. His practice includes commercial lending, leasing representation for landlords and tenants, commercial real estate sales, acquisitions, financings, and related matters. Mr. Hillman also handles various aspects of commercial loan workouts, including loan modifications and restructurings, forbearance agreements, commercial foreclosures, note sales and purchases, and deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure. He is a member of the American Bar Association, North Carolina Bar Association, Wake County Bar Association, and National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. Mr. Hillman earned his B.A. degree from University of North Carolina and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Washington & Lee University. JAMES W. WILLIAMS III is vice president of Chicago Title Insurance Company. He is a board certified specialist in residential and commercial transactions and his experience includes private practice with a concentration in real estate. Mr. Williams is currently serving as secretary of the North Carolina Land Title Association and is a member of the Wake County Bar Association. Prior to relocating to Raleigh in 2010, he served as chairman of the New Hanover County Planning Board and as vice president of the board of the Cape Fear Housing Land Trust. Mr. Williams has previously served on the Real Property Section Council of the North Carolina Bar Association, as president of the New Hanover County Real Property Section, as president of the Board of Directors of Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity, and on the board of Lower Cape Fear Hospice and LifeCare Center. He earned his B.A. degree from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri and his J.D. degree from the University Of Tulsa College Of Law in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
