ROGER H. BRUNY is a partner at the Charlotte law firm of Newitt & Bruny, where he practices in the areas of collections, general litigation, real estate and estate planning. He has lectured on his areas of practice. Mr. Bruny earned his B.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of Chicago. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association. BRADLEY E. PEARCE is a partner in the Charlotte law firm of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, where his practice is focused in the areas of bankruptcy, workouts and commercial litigation, including UCC Article 9 litigation. He is a North Carolina State Board of Legal Specialization Board Certified specialist in bankruptcy law. Mr. Pearce is a frequent speaker on bankruptcy and collection issues. He is a member of the American and North Carolina bar associations and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Mr. Pearce earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from Harvard University. DOUGLAS J. TATE is a partner with the law firm of McGuire, Wood & Bissette, P.A., where he practices in the areas of civil, commercial, with an emphasis on landlord-tenant litigation, debt collection, bankruptcy, and animal law. He is a member and vice president of the North Carolina Bar Association 28th Judicial Bar District. Mr. Tate earned his A.B. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was the first recipient of the John B. Adams Award for Excellence. He earned his J.D. degree from Emory University School of Law, and was inducted into the National Order of Barristers. Mr. Tate is a board member of the Consumer Credit Counseling Service, Inc. of Western Carolina, now OnTrack Financial Education & Counseling, and Pisgah Legal Services.
