R. STEVEN DeGEORGE is a shareholder in the Charlotte law office of Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A., where he handles complex commercial litigation, with significant experience in matters involving toxic tort, product liability, insurance coverage and construction matters. Mr. DeGeorge also provides counsel on mergers and acquisitions, and real estate transactions involving product liability, toxic tort and environmental liability concerns. Mr. DeGeorge is admitted to practice in Ohio, Wisconsin and North Carolina, and is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Chemical Waste Litigation Reporter. He earned his B.A. degree, with high honors, and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin. Mr. DeGeorge is a member of the American Bar Association. JOHN B. GARVER III practices in the Charlotte office of Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson, P.A. Mr. Garver is a transactional and general corporate attorney, representing large and mid-size businesses on a wide range of corporate issues with a focus on joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder, and operating agreements. Mr. Garver counsels clients on insurance coverage issues in the context of such transactions and their ongoing risk management programs. Mr. Garver graduated from the Duke University Law School, with honors, and retired from the United States Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel. THOMAS G. NANCE II is a partner with the Charlotte law firm of Dean & Gibson PLLC. He has 14 years of experience as a trial and appellate attorney. He currently practices in the areas of general insurance defense, insurance coverage and bad faith claims, construction litigation, auto and trucking litigation, products liability, catastrophic injury and wrongful death. He has presented numerous continuing education seminars on insurance coverage, general claims handling, and various areas of tort litigation. Mr. Nance earned his B.A. degree from East Carolina University and his J.D. degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law. He is licensed to practice in all North Carolina state and federal courts. He is a member of the North Carolina and American bar associations and the North Carolina State Bar. JEREMY A. STEPHENSON is an attorney with McNair Law Firm, P.A., where he provides counseling and litigation services to management clients in employment matters. He has successfully defended employers before administrative agencies around the country, and the state and federal courts in North Carolina, against claims of employment discrimination, wrongful termination, breach of contract, and wage and hour violations, and represents businesses in the enforcement of non-compete and similar agreements. Mr. Stephenson advises management on wide ranging topics of employment law compliance, including the avoidance of employee claims, the review and drafting of employment contracts and policies, and development and presentation of employee training programs. He regularly publishes articles and is invited to speak on employment law topics. Mr. Stephenson is currently serving as the chair of the Employment Law Committee for the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Charlotte Area Society of Human Resource Managers. He also has extensive experience providing insurance coverage counseling and litigation services on Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI), Directors and Officers (D&O), General Liability (GL), Errors & Omissions (E&O), and other lines of coverage including declaratory judgment and bad faith litigation and appeals. Mr. Stephenson also litigates in the state and federal courts of North Carolina in cases pertaining to professional liability, products liability and other areas of civil liability. He is a member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys (chair, Employment Law Committee), Judgment Area Society of Human Resource Managers (board member), North Carolina Bar Association (member, Employment Law Section), Mecklenburg County Bar Association, Defense Research Institute (member, Employment and Insurance Committees), Risk and Insurance Management Society and Council for Children's Rights (pro bono attorney). Mr. Stephenson earned his B.A. degree from the University of Virginia and his J.D. degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
