THEODORE F. CLAYPOOLE is a senior member of the Intellectual Property Practice Group of the law firm of Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, PLLC. Mr. Claypoole leads data breach incident response teams in the public and private sectors. He also negotiates and prepares data management, business process outsourcing, distribution, branding, software development, hosted application and electronic commerce agreements for all types of companies. He concentrates on legal problems and regulation in payment systems and financial data processing. Mr.Claypoole consults on information security, privacy, consumer data treatment and contingency planning matters. Advising clients on complex intellectual property development and licensing programs, he builds strategic technology and marketing alliances. He has done multiple presentations and publications on his areas of practice. He was previously assistant general counsel to Bank of America in Charlotte, North Carolina; corporate counsel to CompuServe Incorporated in Columbus, Ohio; and a partner at Gamble Hartshorn Alden in Columbus, Ohio. Mr. Claypoole earned his B.A. degree from Duke University and his J.D. degree from Ohio State University College of Law. He is the founder and host of the WombleTech Lunch & Learn series in Charlotte. Mr. Claypoole is a member of the American Bar Association (co-chair, Privacy and Data Security Subcommittee, Cyberspace Committee, Business Law Section); the International Association of Privacy Professionals and the North Carolina Technology Association, Charlotte Planning Committee. KENNETH L. HARDISON is a shareholder in the law firm of Hardison & Cochran PLLC. He earned his B.S. and J.D. degrees from Campbell University. Mr. Hardison is a certified mediator. He has written and lectured on his areas of practice. Mr. Hardison is a member of The American Association of Justice (AAJ) (member, Advertising Committee); North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ) Advertising Committee); Southern Trial Lawyers (STLA); National Organization of Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR) and Personal Injury Lawyers Marketing & Management Association (PILMMA) (president). JAMES W. HART is an attorney and shareholder in The Hart Law Firm, P.A. Mr. Hart's main areas of practice are workers' compensation and family law. He is licensed to practice law in Florida. Mr. Hart earned his B.A. degree from Ohio Wesleyan University and his J.D. degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. He is a member of the Triangle Business Leaders (founder and past president); North Carolina Bar Association; North Carolina Advocates of Justice (Workers' Compensation Section); and The Florida Bar. He has previously lectured for National Business Institute.
