JOHN P. HUGGARD is the senior member in the Raleigh law firm of Huggard Obiol & Blake, PLLC, where he practices exclusively in the areas of estate planning and related litigation. He is a certified financial planner, and is board-certified in estate planning and probate law by the North Carolina State Bar. He lectures regularly to professional groups on topics dealing with estate administration, estate taxation and estate planning, and he is the author of several estate planning related books, including the North Carolina Estate Settlement Practice Guide published by West Group. Mr. Huggard was named a Super Lawyer by the Charlotte City Magazine in 2007. He retired from North Carolina State University where he taught introductory and advanced courses in law and finance for 32 years. He was a member of the University's Academy of Outstanding Teachers and in 1994 was named an Alumni Distinguished Professor. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; his J.D. degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill; and his master's degree from Duke University.

RICHARD J. SNIDER JR. is a sole practitioner in Mebane, North Carolina. His main areas of practice are trusts and estates, taxation and business law, and he is a previous lecturer in his areas of expertise. Mr. Snider is certified as a specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law by the North Carolina State Bar. He is a North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission certified mediator in Superior Court, District Court, and before the Clerk. Mr. Snider earned his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Cleveland State University – Cleveland-Marshall School of Law. He is admitted to practice law in North Carolina, and before the U.S. District Court, Middle and Eastern districts of North Carolina, and the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Snider is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association (Estate Planning and Dispute sections) and the District 15A Bar.

JOSEPH H. WILLIAMS is a member of Lowe & Williams, PLLC in Mount Airy, North Carolina, whose primary practice areas are estate planning, estate administration and probate, and guardianship administration. Mr. Williams serves as public administrator and public guardian in Surry and Stokes counties and routinely handles probate matters throughout northwestern North Carolina. He earned his B.A. degree from Wake Forest University and his J.D. degree from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Mr. Williams is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, the North Carolina Bar Association (Estate Planning and Probate, and Elder Law sections,) and the District 17B and Surry County bar associations.
