ERIK M. HARVEY is an associate in the Greensboro law firm of Ivey, McClellan, Gatton & Talcott, L.L.P. Mr. Harvey earned his B.S. degree from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California. Upon graduation from Santa Clara University, he worked in charter school development and management. During this period, Mr. Harvey earned his Master's in business administration specializing in finance from San Jose State University in San Jose, California. Later, he earned his J.D. degree from the University Of Iowa, in Iowa City, Iowa. Mr. Harvey also earned his Masters in Accountancy from the University of Iowa in August. After graduation at Iowa, he was an associate at Deloitte, a "Big Four" accounting firm for two years. After working in accounting, Mr. Harvey worked for two years as the shared judicial law clerk of Judge William L. Stocks and Judge Thomas W. Waldrep, both bankruptcy judges in the Middle District of North Carolina. After the clerkship, he joined Ivey, McClellan, Gatton & Talcott, L.L.P. in August of 2009. Mr. Harvey concentrates his practice in bankruptcy, tax and corporate law. ALAN D. McINNES is a partner with Kilpatrick Stockton LLP, where he practices in the areas of litigation, construction and bankruptcy. He earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Duke University and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Law. Mr. McInnes is a member of the American, North Carolina and Wake County bar associations. WES SCHOLLANDER is a sole practitioner in Winston-Salem, where his practice focuses on bankruptcy. He served on a state bar committee to recommend changes in statutory exemptions to the North Carolina Legislature. Mr. Schollander is currently an adjunct professor at Wake Forest University Law School and a previous lecturer in his areas of expertise and recently spoke on "Changes to Attorney's Practices Caused by the 2005 Bankruptcy Reform Law" to the North Carolina Middle District Federal Bankruptcy Bar Seminar for 2005. He has written numerous articles, including "A Statistical Analysis of the Effects of the Median Income Test in North Carolina" disclosure statement (journal of the NC Bankruptcy Bar Section) in 2005; "Consumer Bankruptcy Intake Interviews" (co-author) disclosure statement in 2005; "Can Debtors in Chapter 13 Live on an IRS Budget?" (co-author) NACTT Quarterly (journal of National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees) in 2005; "The New Means Test - A Field Study" (co-author) (journal of Bankruptcy Law and Practice) in 2005; and Small Business Owner's Guide to Bankruptcy, (co-author) Sphinx Publishing, 2002. Mr. Schollander is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys and the North Carolina State Bar Association. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. degree from Wake Forest University. JAMES MARSHALL SHELTON is an associate in the Greensboro law firm of Ivey, McClellan, Gatton & Talcott, L.L.P. Mr. Shelton earned his B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. degree from the Ohio Northern University College of Law. He is admitted to practice before the Eastern, Western, and Middle Districts of North Carolina, as well as the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Shelton is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, and the American, North Carolina and Greensboro bar associations. He is a member of the Young Lawyers division and Business and Bankruptcy sections of the North Carolina Bar Association. Mr. Shelton currently serves on the Bankruptcy Section Council. His practice consists of representing debtors in consumer and business bankruptcy cases, representing chapter 7 Trustees and other parties in bankruptcy litigation, and representation of parties in out of court workouts. Mr. Shelton has previously spoken for the North Carolina Bar Association, the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the National Business Institute, and NC LEAP on topics including avoidance action defense and prosecution, real estate transactions in bankruptcy cases, the interaction of domestic and bankruptcy law, and the treatment of LLC's and similar entities in Bankruptcy cases. He currently prepares the Middle District of North Carolina Case Update for the Bankruptcy Section Newsletter the "Disclosure Statement".
