WILLIAM T. CORBETT JR. is sole practitioner of the Law Office of William T. Corbett Jr. PLLC, in Moorseville, North Carolina. His main area of practice is in insurance, where he focuses in the areas of motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, wrongful death and insurance coverage issues. HOOD is a member of the Hickory law office of Patrick Harper & Dixon LLP, where his main areas of practice are civil litigation, insurance defense, construction law and collections. Mr. Hood is past president of the 25th District Bar (Catawba, Caldwell, and Burke counties); a past president and current member of the Catawba County Bar Association; a member of the Catawba County Board of Elections; a member of the North Carolina Bar Association; a sustaining member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys; and a member of the Commercial Law League. He also serves as counsel to the Catawba Valley Chapter of the American Subcontractors Association. Mr. Hood earned his B.A. degree and J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of North Carolina. (Asheville and Charlotte locations) LARRY B. LEAKE is an attorney with Leake, Scott & Stokes, where he focuses his practices on civil defense, governmental law, medical malpractice, personal injury and wrongful death. Mr. Leake earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of North Carolina. He is a member of the Buncombe County, North Carolina and American bar associations. Mr. Leake also is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys. He is admitted to practice in North Carolina, and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Western District of North Carolina, U.S. Court of Appeals, and the 4th Circuit and U.S. Supreme Court. (Asheville location) BRENT A. PATTERSON has been an attorney for the past 18 years in the Gastonia office of Patterson & Adams, PLLC, where his main areas of practice are personal injury, negligence and insurance law. Mr. Patterson has lectured before paralegals on matters related to automobile injury cases and also to attorneys on personal injury matters. He is a former vice president and former president of the Gaston County Bar Association and a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the South Carolina Bar. Mr. Patterson earned his B.A. degree from Louisiana State University and his J.D. degree from Wake Forest University. (Asheville and Charlotte locations) COLIN SCOTT is an attorney with the Charlotte law firm of McAngus Goudelock & Courie, P.L.L.C. Mr. Scott practices in the area of insurance defense litigation. He earned his B.A. degree from Syracuse University and his J.D. degree from Loyola Law School. Mr. Scott is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association. (Charlotte location)
