MARY E. DUNCAN an attorney with Felt, Martin, Frazier & Weldon, P.C., and practices primarily in the areas of employment law, school law, civil litigation, insurance defense, banking and health care law. In representing schools, banks, and health care providers, Ms. Duncan has developed expertise in all issues related to compliance with the myriad federal and state laws and regulations affecting these entities. A significant part of her practice involves defending employment actions in administrative agencies and courts. Ms. Duncan is a frequent speaker on employment law topics at continuing education seminars, in-services for managers and human resource professionals, and training for public entity boards. She also teaches as an adjunct professor at Rocky Mountain College in the masters degree program in Education Leadership. Ms. Duncan is a Billings, Montana native and earned her B.A. degree with a double major in political science/pre-law and music from the University of Wyoming in 1983. She earned her J.D. degree from the University of Montana in 1987, where she was named the Outstanding Law Student and received the American Judicature Society Service Award. Prior to private practice, she clerked for District Court Judge G. Todd Baugh. Ms. Duncan is a member of the local, state, and American bar associations and is licensed to practice in the Montana state and federal courts and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Ethics Committee and the School Law Section of the State Bar of Montana, the Montana Defense Trial Lawyers Association, and the ABA Sections on Tort and Insurance Practice, State and Local Government Law, and Labor and Employment. EDWARD J. GUZA is a founding partner of the Bozeman law firm of Guza, Williams & Nesbitt, PLLC. He concentrates his practice in the areas of civil litigation and representing employers in employment law issues. He is a frequent lecturer for National Business Institute and has previously lectured at legal ethics programs. Mr. Guza is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Section and the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association. He also is a member of the Federal District Court of Montana and the State Bar of Montana. He is the past president of the Gallatin County Bar Association. Mr. Guza earned his B.S degree at the University of Montana and his J.D. degree at William Mitchell College of Law.ERIC E. NORD is an attorney in the Billings law firm of Crist, Krogh & Nord, LLC, where he focuses his practice in the areas of business law and litigation with a special emphasis on commercial transactions, employment law, real estate and construction issues, and corporate relations. Mr. Nord earned his B.A. degree from Carleton College in Northfield Minnesota, and received his J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law in 1988. He is a member of Montana's Professionalism and Judicial Relations Committees and the Construction and Non-Profit Law Sections. He has written articles and presented seminars on a variety of topics, including real estate and commercial law issues. Mr. Nord is an instructor of business law at MSU-Billings, and the University of Phoenix. He is the treasurer of the Yellowstone Area Bar Association and a member of various non-profit boards and church offices.
