GENE D. BERRY is a member of Gene D. Berry, PLLC, where he practices products liability, real estate litigation and commercial litigation. He received his B.S. degree from Mississippi State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi where he was a member of the Mississippi Law Journal. Mr. Berry is a member of The Mississippi Bar (member, sections on General Litigation and Real Estate), the Defense Research Institute and the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. JOE W. BYRD is licensed as a professional land surveyor in Mississippi and Louisiana, and is president of Joe W. Byrd & Associates, Inc., a surveying and mapping company based in Brookhaven, Mississippi. He has supervised all types of survey projects ranging from small lot surveys to large highway construction projects. Mr. Byrd has testified as an expert witness in cases for boundary disputes, condemnation and eminent domain proceedings. He has given numerous seminars on the Standards of Practice for Surveying in the State of Mississippi and Ethics for Professional Surveyors. Mr. Byrd is a member of the Mississippi Association of Professional Surveyors, where he has served as a board director and is currently serving his second term as board president. He also is a member of the Louisiana Society of Professional Surveyors and the National Society of Professional Surveyors. Mr. Byrd is currently serving his second term as a professional surveyor member of the Mississippi Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Surveyors, where he has served as vice president and president, and is currently secretary of the board. DANNY L. CROTWELL is state manager and counsel for Stewart Title Guaranty Company, where he underwrites title insurance policies, handles claims and manages operations. He lectures on real estate issues to various professional groups. Mr. Crotwell earned his B.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of Mississippi. He is a member of The Mississippi Bar, the American Bar Association, the American Land Title Association, the Dixie Land Title Association and the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. MICHAEL S. MCKAY is a shareholder in the law firm of MacNeill & Buffington, P.A., where he practices primarily in the area of real estate. His practice involves all aspects of title examination and certification, commercial and residential real estate closings, and the litigation of title issues. Mr. McKay earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi Law School. He is a member of The Mississippi Bar (member, Real Estate and Natural Resources sections).
