ROGEN K. CHHABRA is a partner with the law firm of Chhabra & Gibbs P.A., where his areas of practice include workers' compensation and personal injury. He is admitted to practice in all Mississippi state and federal courts, and before the Supreme Court of Mississippi. Mr. Chhabra earned his B.S. degree, cum laude, from Millsaps College and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from Mississippi College School of Law. RICHARD M. EDMONSON JR. has been a member of the Markow Walker, P.A. law firm since 1990 and devotes his practice primarily to workers' compensation defense issues. He is admitted to practice before all Mississippi State Courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member The Mississippi Bar and the Madison County Bar Association. Mr. Edmonson graduated from the University of Mississippi with a degree in banking and finance in 1985 and received his J. D. degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1988. He is the immediate past-president of the Madison County Bar Association and is currently serving as chair of the Workers' Compensation Section of The Mississippi Bar. Mr. Edmonson is a certified mediator through the Kid's Chance Scholarship Program of the Mississippi Worker's Compensation Commission and has been a frequent lecturer on workers' compensation issues for various professional organizations, as well as for the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission. NATHANIEL FENTRESS, MS, CRC, CCM, is a sole proprietor and Rehabilitation Counselor. Mr. Fentress is a licensed Rehabilitation Counselor in the State of Louisiana and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Mississippi. He is a Certified Case Manager, Commission for Case Manager Certification, Certificate Number 1100; a Diplomat, American Board of Vocational Experts, Certification Number 200; a Certified Disability Management Specialist, Disability Management Specialist Commission, Certificate Number 54; and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification, Certificate Number 4201. Mr. Fentress is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals, the American Board of Vocational Experts, the Brain Injury Association of Mississippi, and The Advisory Board and Peer Review Committee, Journal of Forensic Vocationology. He has presented for many different organizations in relation to Vocational Rehabilitation and Life Care Planning. In 2004 Mr. Fentress published "Subjective and Functional Pain Assessment Overview: The Oswerty Disability Questionnaire, the Roland-Morris Disability Questionnaire, the Visual Analog Scale and The Stanford Score", in the Journal of Forensic Vocationology Vol. 8 (1). He received his Bachelors degree and Master of Science degree in counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg, Mississippi. HOWARD T. KATZ, M.D., is a physiatrist who regularly conducts independent medical examinations with Gulf States Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Katz also is the medical director for Hammond Place, 360 Total Rehab, Southern Healthcare Agency, Inc. and the Neurologic Rehabilitation Living Center. He earned his M.D. degree from the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Services and completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Tennessee. Besides being certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners, Dr. Katz also is certified in the Subspecialty of Spinal Cord Injury Medicine and a Diplomat American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is a member of the American Medical Association, MSMA, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American Academy of Home Care Physicians (charter member), the Southern Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, AAEM, the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of Mississippi. SYLVIA MCCANDLESS, PT, DPT, is a Physical Therapist with 360 Total Rehab, where she specializes in Functional Capacity Evaluations, Post Employment Screens, Job Site Analysis, and Developing Functional Job Descriptions. She is licensed in the State of Mississippi #0153 and a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (Private Practice Section, Womens Health, President of Mississippi Chapter), and Workwell Solutions Certified. Ms. McCandless has presented at various workers compensation conventions and written several publications on Physical Therapy. Ms. McCandless recently completed her l Certification in Women's Health. She received her Undergraduate degree, in pre-physical therapy, from Belhaven College, her B.S. degree, in physical therapy, from the University of Mississippi Medical Center - School of Physical Therapy, her M.S. degree, in health science, from Mississippi College, and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from The University of Mississippi Medical Center. CHRISTOPHER TY PENNINGTON is a Vocational Rehab Counselor with Rehabilitation, Inc. where he performs initial Vocational Evaluations and Labor Market Surveys, to include analyzing transferable skills, performing job analysis, assessing job descriptions, contacting employers regarding lighter work, and initializing job development to assist in the rehabilitation process of clients with industrial injuries and liability claim and provides testimony in state and federal courts. Mr. Pennington is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. He received both his B.S. degree, in educational psychology and M.S. degree, in vocational rehabilitation counseling, from Mississippi State University. JO LYNN POLK, M.D., is a licensed physiatrist with Gulf States Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Jackson, Mississippi. Her areas of expertise include evaluating and treating traumatic brain injuries and musculoskeletal disorders, impairment ratings, and conducting independent medical evaluations. Prior to her current role, she practiced general physical medicine and rehabilitation which included a stint as Medical Director of the Brain Injury Service at Methodist Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Polk completed her post graduate training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She received her M.D. degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
