TIM W. PORTER is a partner in the Ridgeland firm of Porter & Malouf, P.A., where he focuses his practice in the areas of insurance law, medical malpractice, motor vehicle accidents (plaintiff) and personal injury (plaintiff). Mr. Porter is a member of the Hinds County and American bar associations, The Mississippi Bar, the Mississippi Trial Lawyers Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. He received his B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi School of Law. WILLIAM M. QUIN II is a member of the firm of McCraney Montagnet & Quin PLLC, which maintains its office in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Mr. Quin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in 1994 and his law degree from Louisiana State University in 1997. While in law school, Mr. Quin won the LSU trial competition and received an award for oral arguments made in regional appellate competition. He served as a law clerk to Mississippi Supreme Court Justice (now Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi) Michael P. Mills in the year following his graduation from law school. Mr. Quin has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation, and his experience covers a broad swath of the legal spectrum, including admiralty and maritime, insurance bad faith, securities fraud, tax fraud, personal injury and wrongful death, medical malpractice, complex commercial disputes and mass torts. In 2003, Mr. Quin's efforts on behalf of hundreds of WorldCom securities holders were highlighted on the PBS television news magazine NOW with Bill Moyers. The following year, Mr. Quin was retained as a Special Assistant Attorney General to prosecute a state tax fraud action against WorldCom's corporate successor, MCI, Inc. His efforts led to a $125 million settlement, which ranks as the single highest tax fraud recovery in the State of Mississippi, and among the highest state tax fraud recoveries in the nation's history. Last year, Mr. Quin obtained a $2.9 million verdict in federal court in Aberdeen, Mississippi, which is reported to be the largest verdict ever returned by a jury in that venue. He regularly serves as a continuing legal education speaker and has written several publications on pre-trial procedure, evidentiary matters and trial strategy. Mr. Quin is licensed to practice within the state and federal courts of Mississippi and Louisiana, as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal. W. ERIC STRACENER is managing partner of the firm of Hawkins, Stracener & Gibson, PLLC. Mr. Stracener practices in the firm's Jackson, Mississippi, office. The firm also maintains an office in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Mr. Stracener earned his undergraduate degree from Millsaps, with honors, and his law degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. Mr. Stracener's practice consists almost exclusively of the representation of plaintiffs; however, over his career, he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants primarily in a litigation setting. Mr. Stracener is a member of the Board of Governors of the Mississippi Association for Justice and is a passionate supporter of individual rights. Recently, the Mississippi Supreme Court affirmed significant verdict, which he obtained on behalf of his clients in the Circuit Court of Coahoma County. Mr. Stracener's practice is varied and includes the representation of plaintiffs in medical and nursing home cases, personal injury cases, breach of contract and wrongful death throughout the state of Mississippi. Mr. Stracener has been a frequent speaker at seminars and continuing legal education activities. He serves on the Mississippi Board of Bar Admissions Committee on Character and Fitness. ROCKY F. WILKINS is the founder of Rocky Wilkins Law Firm, PLLC, where he practices in the areas of products liability, personal injury, premises liability and criminal defense. He has tried more than 25 jury trials to verdict, including several high profile cases such as State of Mississippi v. Michael Bridges, where Mr. Wilkins' client was acquitted of murder. In 2003, Mr. Wilkins was lead trial counsel in Virgie Hardy v. Bayer Corporation and Billy Ray Slaughter v. Bayer Corporation, which were the second and third Baycol cases tried in the nation. In 2009, he obtained a $2.5 million dollar jury verdict in a premises liability case for a woman that was attacked in a grocery store parking lot. Mr. Wilkins received his B.A. degree from the University of Mississippi and his J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law. He is a member of the Hinds County Bar Association, the Mississippi Association for Justice, the American Association of Justice, and the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Wilkins has previous lecturing experience at seminars involving products liability and evidence. He was published in Trial Magazine on the topic of cell phones and distracted driving. Mr. Wilkins has also made numerous appearances on radio and TV as a legal commentator, including Court TV, WLBT-TV and Supertalk Radio 97.3. He is currently the co-host of Law Call, a weekly live legal call-in television show on the NBC station in Jackson, which airs every Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.
