ROBERT S. MINK is an attorney with the law firm Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs, LLP, where his practice areas include medical malpractice defense, plaintiff litigation and criminal defense. He earned his B.S. and M.A. degrees from Mississippi State University, and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Mississippi. Mr. Mink is a member of The Mississippi Bar. DIANE V. PRADAT is a shareholder with the law firm Wilkins Tipton, Attorneys at Law, where her areas of practice include workers' compensation, general insurance defense and medical malpractice work in both state and federal courts. She earned her B.S. degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi and her J.D. degree from Mississippi College School of Law. Ms. Pradat is a member of the Hinds County Bar Association, The Mississippi Bar, the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Commission (statewide mediator - Administrative Law Section) and the Defense Research Institute. WILLIAM M. QUIN II is a member of the firm of McCraney Montagnet & Quin PLLC, which maintains its office in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Mr. Quin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in 1994 and his law degree from Louisiana State University in 1997. While in law school, Mr. Quin won the LSU trial competition and received an award for oral arguments made in regional appellate competition. He served as a law clerk to Mississippi Supreme Court Justice (now Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi) Michael P. Mills in the year following his graduation from law school. Mr. Quin has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation, and his experience covers a broad swath of the legal spectrum, including admiralty and maritime, insurance bad faith, securities fraud, tax fraud, personal injury and wrongful death, medical malpractice, complex commercial disputes and mass torts. In 2003, Mr. Quin's efforts on behalf of hundreds of WorldCom securities holders were highlighted on the PBS television news magazine NOW with Bill Moyers. The following year, Mr. Quin was retained as a Special Assistant Attorney General to prosecute a state tax fraud action against WorldCom's corporate successor, MCI, Inc. His efforts led to a $125 million settlement, which ranks as the single highest tax fraud recovery in the State of Mississippi, and among the highest state tax fraud recoveries in the nation's history. Last year, Mr. Quin obtained a $2.9 million verdict in federal court in Aberdeen, Mississippi, which is reported to be the largest verdict ever returned by a jury in that venue. He regularly serves as a continuing legal education speaker and has written several publications on pre-trial procedure, evidentiary matters and trial strategy. Mr. Quin is licensed to practice within the state and federal courts of Mississippi and Louisiana, as well as the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal.
