RONALD D. FARRIS maintains a statewide and regional practice through Farris Law Group PLLC. He earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees in public policy administration from The University of Southern Mississippi and his J.D. degree at the University of Mississippi School of Law. Mr. Farris has been an active member of numerous professional organizations, including the International Council of Shopping Centers, Mississippi Economic Council, Mississippi Home Builders Association, the Mississippi Mortgage Bankers Association, the Mississippi Bankers Association, the Mississippi State Bar and the Hinds/Capital Area and Madison County Bar Associations. A former State Senator, Mr. Farris has participated in multiple educational and community service programs at both the state and local levels. He serves as an instructor each year at multiple legal and educational seminars, centering on issues relating to real estate, commercial and residential development, business and governmental relations. Mr. Farris' practice centers on the full range of issues relating to real estate, including ownership and title, sale and purchase, easements and servitudes, residential and commercial development, distressed property and workouts, construction and litigation. He also handles business and entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, contracting and leasing and dispute resolution and dissolution. He represents national, regional and local retailers, developers, land owners, brokers, financial institutions and businesses, as well as governmental entities. Mr. Farris has been an integral team member on projects including shopping malls, strip centers, big box retail, hospitals, clinics, special medical facilities, office and professional developments and residential subdivisions. Mr. Farris regularly secures necessary approvals, zoning changes and permits from local and state governments, as well as unique partnerships with governmental entities to fund infrastructure, such as tax increment financing and public improvement districts. He has handled all manners of real estate related litigation, including annexation, rezoning and other administrative appeals and foreclosures. GEORGE S. HAYMANS IV is an attorney in the law firm of Wells, Marble & Hurst, PLLC, where he focuses his practice in residential and commercial real estate transactions and development, real estate finance and due diligence, land use, planning and zoning, foreclosure, loan negotiations and workouts and chancery practice. Mr. Haymans regularly represents groups of regional developers and general contractors in all facets of real estate projects including acquisition, plan approval and the drafting of necessary infrastructure documents for PUDs, subdivisions, condominiums and multi-use developments. His extensive experience includes successful real estate development projects in Alabama, Mississippi and Florida. Throughout the firm's real estate closing group, Mr. Haymans is involved with commercial and residential transactions and title evaluations, acting to advise neighborhood and condominium associations on corporate structure and governance plans, and the full range of issues relating to title insurance. In the past three years, he facilitated the successful closing of approximately $300 million of real property transactions. While attending the University of Mississippi School of Law, Mr. Haymans earned his real estate broker's license and gained invaluable experience managing agricultural property in the Mississippi Delta. He is a member of The Mississippi Bar, the American and Lafayette County bar associations, North Central Mississippi Board of Realtors and Mortgage Banker's Association of Mississippi. R. DAVID MARCHETTI is a member of the Ridgeland law firm of Wells, Marble & Hurst, PLLC, where he practices in the areas of estate and business planning (with an emphasis on estate planning for high-net-worth individuals, including planning for retirement plan distributions), taxation, probate, mediation, corporations and real estate. He is a frequent author and lecturer on estate planning, probate and taxation topics. Mr. Marchetti earned his bachelor's degree from Mississippi State University, his J.D. degree from the University of Mississippi School of Law and his LL.M. degree from the University of Miami. Mr. Marchetti is a member of the Hinds County Bar Association, The Mississippi Bar (member, Taxation and Real Property sections; past chair-person, Estates and Trusts Section), the Estate Planning Council of Mississippi, the Mississippi Chapter of the Financial Planning Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. RICHARD MONTAGUE is a member of the Jackson law firm of Wells, Moore, Simmons & Hubbard, PLLC, where he has devoted his practice to bankruptcy and commercial litigation. He has published two articles on the exemption of retirement plans in bankruptcy in the Mississippi College Law Review and is a frequent speaker at CLE seminars on bankruptcy and insolvency related issues. Mr. Montague earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, and his J.D. degree from Vanderbilt University. He is a member of the Hinds County Bar, The Mississippi Bar, the American Bankruptcy Institute and the Mississippi Bankruptcy Conference.
