MARK R. BATES is a member of the law firm of Rynearson, Suess, Schnurbusch & Champion LLC, where he practices in the areas of workers’ compensation defense and labor and employment law. Mr. Bates is a frequent lecturer on topics related to workers’ compensation defense, employment law, and related business topics, such as the ADA, FMLA and human resources issues. He has prepared and presented numerous articles on these topics. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Missouri and his J.D. degree from Saint Louis University. Mr. Bates is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers. GRETA E. DAIBER, an attorney with Early, Miranda & Petraborg, P.C., divides her practice between the workers' compensation and civil litigation departments at the firm. Ms. Daiber earned her B.S. degree from Fontbonne University and her J.D. degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia. Ms. Daiber has extensive experience handling workers' compensation cases throughout each stage of the litigation and appellate process, and specializes in pre-trial preparation and post-trial drafting and appeals. She has successfully argued before the Eastern District Court of Appeals and has handled cases in all venues throughout Missouri. BRANDY L. JOHNSON is an attorney in the law firm of Rynearson, Suess, Schnurbusch & Champion, LLC. Mrs. Johnson concentrates her practice in workers' compensation, but has experience in the areas of tort litigation, including premises liability, personal injury, insurance law, and medical malpractice. Mrs. Johnson has authored appellate briefs in appeals to the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, the Missouri Supreme Court, the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Southern District of Missouri, the Missouri Court of Appeals for the Eastern District of Missouri, and the Illinois Court of Appeals for the Fifth District. Mrs. Johnson is admitted to practice law in Missouri, Illinois, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. She received her undergraduate degree in political science from Southern Illinois University and her juris doctorate, magna cum laude, from Southern Illinois University School of Law. Mrs. Johnson has published articles in the Journal of Legal Medicine, the Journal of Health Law, the Oncology Hematology Clinics of North America Health Law and Policy, the Encyclopedia of Women's Health, the Encyclopedia of Public Health and Aging, the Missouri Medical Law Report, and, most recently, the Encyclopedia of Immigrant Health. KAREN A. MULROY is a member of the workers' compensation practice group in the law firm of Evans & Dixon, L.L.C. She concentrates in Missouri workers' compensation, specializing in cases involving accidental injury or occupational diseases. Ms. Mulroy has extensive experience handling workers' compensation matters in Missouri. Her case experience includes amputations, assaults and violent acts, back injuries, body system injuries, bruises and contusions, carpal tunnel syndrome, chemical burns, contact with objects and equipment, cumulative trauma, cuts and lacerations, falls, fatalities, fires and explosions, fractures, harmful substances or environments, head injuries, heart attacks, heat burns, infectious diseases, lower and upper extremity injuries, multiple traumatic injuries, musculoskeletal disorders, neck injuries, paraplegia/quadriplegia, permanent disability, poisoning, pulmonary disorders, respiratory conditions, skin diseases and disorders, sprains, strains, breaks, tears and tendonitis. She is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars regarding Missouri workers' compensation case law and the fraud provisions of the Missouri workers' compensation statute.
