TIMOTHY C. FINLEY is a senior consultant and vehicle specialist at Semke Forensic in St. Charles, Missouri. He has been ACTAR (Accredited Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction) accredited since 1994, and was one of the earliest accredited professionals. Mr. Finley is a certified fire investigator with the International Association of Arson Investigators and certified by the Missouri Department of Public Safety as a fire and arson investigator. Mr. Finley is a member of the Illinois Association of Technical Accident Investigators, the Midwest Association of Technical Accident Investigators, the Society of Automotive Engineers and the International Association of Arson Investigators. Mr. Finley focuses his work on vehicle accident reconstruction and mechanical analysis and vehicle fire origin and cause investigation; but deals with all aspects of accident reconstruction, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, boating and aviation. He has presented at various seminars for insurance organizations and regional accident reconstruction organizations, and has taught training programs for law enforcement and fire departments. JAMES E. GODFREY JR. is a member in the law firm of Evans & Dixon, L.L.C., where he is chair of the litigation department. Mr. Godfrey has extensive experience in all aspects of civil defense litigation, including, but not limited to, automotive, construction, insurance and real estate, government, manufacturing, EEOC, retail trade, services, transportation and public utilities, and wholesale trade industries. He has successfully litigated cases involving admiralty, auto/vehicular, bad faith, business torts, construction law, contract disputes, employment litigation, ERISA, general liability insurance, insurance coverage, medical malpractice, personal injury, pollution/toxic tort, premises liability, products liability, professional liability, property damage, subrogation, wrongful death and defamation/slander. Overall, Mr. Godfrey has tried more than 200 cases to a conclusion throughout the state of Missouri and Southern Illinois, in both the state and federal courts. He received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from St. Louis University, and is a member of The Missouri Bar and the Illinois State Bar Association. THOMAS A. MORRIS is a collision reconstructionist with St. Louis Traffic Accident Reconstruction, where he maintains a general accident reconstruction consulting practice for both civil and criminal cases. Prior to owning his own office, he spent 15 years in the insurance industry and six years as a contract consultant for the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. He has been a fully accredited traffic accident reconstructionist by ACTAR since 2002. Mr. Morris is a frequent lecturer on his areas of expertise, and has presented for groups such as the St. Louis County Police Academy, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the Law Enforcement Traffic Safety Advisory Council (LETSAC) Annual Meeting, UMSL, Rice University, Valparaiso University Department of Physics and Astronomy, and Safeco Indianapolis Region Claims. Mr. Morris holds a B.A. degree from Washington University - St. Louis, and has completed the collision reconstruction program through Northwestern University Traffic Institute. He is a member of the National Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialists (NAPARS), the Illinois Association of Technical Accident Investigators (IATAI) and the National Association of Traffic Accident Reconstructionists and Investigators (NATARI). KURT A. SCHMID is a principal in the law firm of Brown & James, P.C., where he focuses his practice in transportation, product and premises liability matters. He has successfully represented transportation clients in trial and is active in the transportation legal community. He received his B.S. degree, summa cum laude, from St. Louis University, and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from St. Louis University School of Law. Mr. Schmid is a member of the Missouri and Illinois Bar Associations, ALFA International (Transportation Practice Group), and the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers. DAVID W. TERRY is owner of the Terry Law Firm, where he practices in all areas of serious personal injury, with particular emphasis in car accidents, truck accidents, nursing home abuse and neglect, and medical negligence. Mr. Terry is a former adjunct instructor of business law at Southeast Missouri State University and has lectured frequently on his areas of practice. Mr. Terry taught business law as an adjunct professor and regularly consults with attorneys throughout the United States on cases involving nursing home neglect and abuse, truck accidents and car accidents. He is licensed to practice in state and federal courts in Missouri, Illinois, Arkansas and Colorado. Mr. Terry received his B.A. degree from Wheaton College and his J.D. degree from Drake University.
