KENNETH P. CARP is a partner with the law firm of Carp, Concannon & Gervich, LLC, where his areas of practice include bankruptcy, corporate, estate and SSD. His lecture experience includes United States Air Force CLE's for Staff Judge Advocates and Active Duty Air Force members. In addition, he also has lecture experience for the AARP Speakers Bureau and various community groups. Mr. Carp earned his B.S. degree in Economics from the University of New York at Albany, his J.D. degree from St. Louis University, and his M.S. degree in Industrial Safety Engineering from the University of Missouri-Warrensburg. He is a retired Lt. Colonel from the United States Air Force and is a Judge for the City of St. Louis Treasurer's Office. SARA FIEVET KNITTEL serves as a senior associate for Kozeny & McCubbin, L.C., a nationally known law firm which provides legal representation to the mortgage banking industry across Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska. Ms. Knittel manages the foreclosure and eviction departments, as well as the title resolution department which includes the resolution of title defects during the course of foreclosure and title curative litigation, including declaratory judgment and quiet title actions in addition to the firm's manufactured housing portfolio. She is a frequent speaker in the industry at the local and national level on various default related topics and has participated on a national panel of experts in the area of manufactured housing. Ms. Knittel earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism, with honors, from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her J.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law. She is a member of The Missouri Bar; the Illinois State, the Kansas and the Nebraska State bar associations; and is authorized to practice in the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Missouri; U.S. District Court Western District of Missouri; U.S. District Court District of Kansas; as well as the U.S. District Court District of Nebraska. JEFFREY T. WEISMAN is a partner with the law firm of Shapiro & Weisman, L.C., concentrating his practice in the areas of creditors' rights, real estate, landlord-tenant law, general litigation, bankruptcy and foreclosures. Mr. Weisman wrote a book titled A Creditor's Guide to Bankruptcy. He also co-wrote the "Chapter 11 Foreclosure Section," along with all updates, of Missouri Practice. Mr. Weisman has been recognized for the years 2003 through 2007 by The Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers. A cum laude graduate of Boston University, Mr. Weisman earned his J.D. degree from St. Louis University School of Law and his LL.M. degree from Washington University School of Law. He is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.
