MATTHEW J. O'CONNOR is the founding member and managing attorney of The O'Connor Law Firm, P.C. Mr. O'Connor is a seasoned criminal defense attorney with extensive trial experience. He has served as a member of the Kansas City Missouri Bar Association committees for Criminal Law, Business Law, Juvenile Law and Civil Litigation. He is a regular guest lecturer at the University of Kansas Law School. In addition to presenting seminars and lectures, Mr. O'Connor serves as an adjunct professor for Park University. He co-wrote a 1998 supplement for The Missouri Bar Criminal Procedure Publication, was again asked by The Missouri Bar to write the chapter for the 2000 Supplement, and in 2005, wrote the arrest chapter. Mr. O'Connor earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Missouri at Kansas City. CHARLES M. ROGERS is a shareholder in the law firm of Wyrsch Hobbs & Mirakian, P.C., where he focuses his practice in criminal law. Mr. Rogers is a frequent lecturer and was previously the chairman of the trial skills workshop for the Missouri State Public Defender System. He also has lectured for the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Legal Aid and Defender Association, The Missouri Bar, and at the Federal Capital Trials Training by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. Mr. Rogers is a member of the American Bar Association, The Missouri Bar, the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (member, Board of Directors, past president), the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association (past chair, Criminal Law Committee, 2001) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
