CHRISTOPHER B. BENT is a sole practitioner in St. Louis, Missouri. Since 1998, he has concentrated his practice in the areas of labor and employment law, as well as general corporate law. Mr. Bent earned his J.D. degree from St. Louis University, where he was a Dean's Scholar, and his B.S. degree from Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio. He is a member of The Missouri Bar and the Illinois State Bar Association, and has served as chairman of the St. Charles Planning and Zoning Commission. JOHN V. DOHENY graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A. degree in accounting. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Dayton Law School. Mr. Doheny was associated with the Price Waterhouse CPA firm Audit Department in St. Louis, and assisted in various tax preparation assignments. After graduating from law school, he worked as a tax attorney for Coopers and Lybrand in Newport News, Virginia, in tax planning and preparation of returns for various exempt and for-profit organizations, including reorganizations in pension planning for hospitals. Mr. Doheny served in the U.S. Army Transportation Corps as a reserve officer, where he handled transportation contract movement issues. He served in this capacity from 1980 until his retirement from the reserves in 2003. Mr. Doheny returned to St. Louis in 1988, where he was of counsel of the Doheny & Doheny Law firm until he started the Doheny Law Firm LLC. Mr. Doheny concentrates his practice in the areas of taxation, corporate law, real estate, contracts, collections, business law and estate planning. He is a member of The Missouri Bar and admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Eastern and Western districts of Missouri. JOSEPH M. POIRIER graduated from San Diego State University with his B.S. degree, and he earned his J.D. degree from John Marshall Law School and later earned his LL.M. degree, with highest honors, from George Washington University. Mr. Poirier served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a regular officer for 28 years, during which time he handled labor and contract issues until he retired in 1999. He is a recipient of the Legion of Merit Award, among others awards. Of note, Mr. Poirier was lead appellate counsel for the Department of the Navy in the seminal capital murder case as an Amicus Curiae Counsel, United States v. Matthews, 16 M.J. 354 (1983). He also was editor of the Labor Law Monthly Newsletter from 1990 to 1991, and lectured at several labor and contract law conferences in the 1980s and 1990s. After military retirement, Mr. Poirier moved to Belleville, Illinois, where he is partner for the Burke & Poirier Law Firm. Mr. Poirier concentrates his practice in the areas of taxation, corporate law, contracts, business law and estate planning. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and is admitted to the following bars: the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, Federal, and District of Columbia Circuits, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. STEPHEN R. YOUNG is a managing partner at Stephen R. Young, P.C., where he performs a number of financial services for small and closely held companies with sales of up to $10 million, and high net wealth individuals with estates in excess of $20 million, including tax planning and compliance, estate planning, asset protection planning and cash flow analysis, negotiating contracts on behalf of clients, general business consulting and making software and hardware recommendations. He is a certified QuickBooks Expert and also performs fee based financial planning. Mr. Young delivered several business plans last year and in the current year to assist strategic planning, government grants, loan approvals and equity investing. Mr. Young is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant, Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountant, Estate Planning Council of St. Louis and The Financial Planning Association. He earned his B.S. degree from Southwest Missouri State University, his M.B.A. degree from University of Missouri, Kansas City, and his Graduate Management Certificate in taxation from University of Missouri, St. Louis.
