SHAWN T. BRINER is a shareholder in the law firm of Martin, Leigh, Laws & Fritzlen, P.C., and serves as the managing attorney in its St. Louis, Missouri office. He earned both his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Missouri, and remains an active member of the Mizzou Alumni Association. SARA FIEVET KNITTEL serves as a senior associate for Kozeny & McCubbin, L.C., a nationally known law firm which provides legal representation to the mortgage banking industry across Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska. Ms. Knittel manages the foreclosure and eviction departments, as well as the title resolution department which includes the resolution of title defects during the course of foreclosure and title curative litigation, including declaratory judgment and quiet title actions in addition to the firm's manufactured housing portfolio. She is a frequent speaker in the industry at the local and national level on various default related topics and has participated on a national panel of experts in the area of manufactured housing. Ms. Knittel earned her Bachelor of Journalism degree, with honors, from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her J.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She is a member of The Missouri Bar; the Illinois State, the Kansas and the Nebraska State bar associations; and is authorized to practice in the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Missouri; U.S. District Court Western District of Missouri; U.S. District Court District of Kansas; as well as the U.S. District Court District of Nebraska. ERIKA M. KNAPSTEIN is an associate with Kozeny & McCubbin, L.C., a regional law firm based in Saint Louis, Missouri. The law firm specializes in mortgage default services, including foreclosure, bankruptcy, eviction, litigation and title services in the states of Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska. Prior to joining Kozeny & McCubbin, Ms. Knapstein spent five years in the title insurance industry serving as a title examiner, abstractor, closer and counsel for a mid-size title insurance agent. She obtained her J.D. degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and her B.A. degree from Saint Louis University. Mrs. Knapstein is licensed to practice in the state of Missouri. HILARY HUFFMAN SOMMER is an associate attorney at Martin, Leigh, Laws & Fritzlen P.C.'s St. Louis, Missouri office, where her practice focuses upon creditors' rights and general civil litigation. She earned her B.A. degrees (in English and anthropology), with honors, and her J.D. degree from the University of Missouri. Ms. Huffman Sommer is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Illinois State Bar Association, The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Lawyers' Association of St. Louis. She also serves on the Justice for All Committee for legal services of Eastern Missouri.
