JONATHAN T. BARTON is a shareholder with Sandberg, Phoenix & von Gontard P.C., practicing primarily in products liability, personal injury and commercial litigation. Mr. Barton has been engaged in all aspects of litigation from claim investigation through trial before the bench and jury, in both state and federal courts. He regularly lectures on litigation techniques, advanced deposition/discovery, strategies including, e-discovery, and the use of technology in trial. Mr. Barton is a member of the Order of the Barristers and the recipient of two Lewis F. Powell, Jr. awards for excellence in advocacy, awarded by the American College of Trial Lawyers. He is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of Missouri, the Supreme Court of Illinois and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western districts of Missouri, as well as for the Southern and Central districts of Illinois, and the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Barton earned his B.A. degree from St. Louis University and his J.D. degree, with honors, from Drake University. GLENNON P. FOGARTY is a partner in the law firm of Husch Blackwell LLP, where he concentrates his practice in the area of commercial litigation, with an emphasis in the areas of product liability defense, contractual disputes, trade regulation, agribusiness, biotechnology, construction law, insurance, fraud, patent infringement, trademark infringement, and class action defense. He has served as lead counsel at the trial and appellate level, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings. Mr. Fogarty represents Fortune 500 companies and other corporations. He has appeared in courts in various jurisdictions, including Arkansas, Illinois, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska and Tennessee. Mr. Fogarty also assists clients in complying with regulatory requirements and responding to inquiries from governmental agencies. Prior to returning to private practice, he served as Unit Chief of the Consumer Protection Division of the Missouri Attorney General's St. Louis office, where he directed the investigation and prosecution of violations of Missouri's securities, antitrust and consumer fraud statutes. After returning to private practice, Mr. Fogarty was appointed as a Special Assistant Attorney General to prosecute an unlawful merchandising practices suit brought by the Missouri Attorney General. KURT J. SCHAFERS is a partner in the law firm of Cosgrove Law, LLC. Prior to joining Cosgrove Law, LLC, Mr. Schafers worked at Husch Blackwell Sanders LLP in St. Louis for several years where his practice focused on commercial, products liability, premises liability, and real estate litigation. He has represented Fortune 500 companies and other business entities in state and federal courts and in arbitration proceedings throughout the United States. Mr. Schafers earned his B.S. degree, cum laude, from Truman State University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from St. Louis University School of Law. He is licensed in both Missouri and Illinois, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
