PETER MIRAKIAN III is a partner with the Kansas City law firm of Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP, and practices with the business and finance group. PERSLEY is a licensed attorney in Missouri and Kansas, and has practiced law for more than 14 years. Her practice includes bankruptcy, debt management, credit education, and restoration, business development, and estate planning. She is certified to teach courses on debt management and financial education, and frequently speaks at seminars throughout the region. She is the former host of a weekly radio program which focused on money and credit issues, Knowledge is Power. In addition, Ms. Persley serves as a board member for several not-for-profit organizations. She is also founder and director of SOS Financial Solutions, Inc., an organization dedicated to increasing financial awareness through education and counseling. She earned her law degree at Washburn University School of Law and her B.A. degree in sociology from University of Missouri-Kansas City. JAMES M. SELLE is a partner at Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP. He has extensive experience in a wide range of commercial transactions, including sales, acquisitions, mergers, business structuring (corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships), contracts, licensing and other distribution arrangements, financings, e-commerce, and real estate, with an emphasis on joint ventures and strategic alliances involving both public and private companies and transactions of local, national and international scope. He is a partner in the firm's General Business Division. He chairs the firm's Corporate Law Group and also chairs the firm's Strategic Alliances Group. Mr. Selle has presented continuing legal education programs and written numerous works involving limited liability companies, partnerships, joint ventures and strategic alliances, and regularly attends and participates in local and national programs addressing new developments in those areas of practice. He earned his B.S. degree, magna cum laude, and his J.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Mr. Selle is a member of the American Bar Association (Business Law Section), The Missouri Bar (Business Law Committee, chair; Legislative Review Subcommittee; Limited Liability Entities Subcommittee), Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the International Trade Club of Greater Kansas City. SEAMUS P. SMITH an attorney at the Will and Trust Center in Leawood, Kansas, and is of counsel to the Topeka, Kansas, law firm of Newbery, Ungerer & Hickert, LLP, practicing in the areas of estate, business and tax planning. He is an adjunct professor of business and tax law at Benedictine College. Mr. Smith is admitted to practice law in the states of Kansas and Missouri, and before the U.S. Tax Court. He earned his B.A. degree from Benedictine College, his J.D. degree from the University of Kansas School of Law and his LL.M. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. ERIC J. STEINLE is an associate with the business and finance group of Spencer Fane Britt & Browne LLP. Mr. Steinle's practice focuses on business transactions and planning. He earned his J.D. degree from the University of Kansas School of Law, where he was a member of the Kansas Law Review and recipient of the Robert E. Edmonds prize in corporation and securities law. Mr. Steinle earned his B.A. degree, with distinction and with honors, from the University of Kansas, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and recipient of a Pi Sigma Alpha Faculty Award.
