WILLIAM G. COTTRELL is the principal of Cottrell Law Firm, P.A. His main areas of practice include commercial litigation, collections, business law and civil litigation. Mr. Cottrell is an ADR neutral for the entire state of Minnesota and a former adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law. He earned his B.A. degree, with distinction, from the University of Minnesota and his J.D. degree from William Mitchell College of Law. Mr. Cottrell is a member of the Hennepin County (member, Debtor-Creditor Remedies Committee) and Minnesota State (member, Bankruptcy Section, Civil Litigation Section) bar associations. TOM S. JAEB is the vice president and managing investigator of Heartland Investigative Group. Heartland is a full service investigative agency serving the corporate, legal, financial and insurance communities. He has conducted or managed over 15,000 investigations in his 17 years as a professional investigator. Mr. Jaeb specializes in due diligence background profiling and asset investigation. He is a frequent speaker and has presented for Lorman Education Services, National Business Institute, the National Association of Credit Managers and the Independent Community Bankers of Minnesota among others. GEORGE E. WARNER JR. is the founding partner of Warner Law, LLC. Mr. Warner practices in the area of creditors' rights for local, regional and national clients. He regularly represents financial institutions, equipment leasing companies, and other secured and unsecured creditors locally, nationally, and internationally. Mr. Warner has built extensive experience in state and federal litigation involving collection matters. As a frequent lecturer for continuing legal education programs for other attorneys and adjunct professor at William Mitchell College of Law from 1997 to 2001, he is committed to raising the expectations of expertise of his peers. Mr. Warner has practiced law for more than 18 years, with nearly 15 of those years focused almost exclusively on commercial collections. While with Bernick & Lifson, P.A., he became and continues to be one of the only two Minnesota attorneys to hold National Board Certification as a creditor's rights specialist by the American Board of Certification. He is a member of the Commercial Law League of America and the American, Minnesota State and Hennepin County bar associations. Mr. Warner earned his B.A. degree from the University of Iowa and his J.D. degree from Hamline University School of Law. WILLIAM P. WASSWEILER is a partner in the Minneapolis firm of Lindquist & Vennum PLLP, where he is in the firm's bankruptcy and creditors' remedies practice group. He represents banks and other secured lenders, mortgage companies, equipment-finance companies, indenture trustees, unsecured creditors and lessors. Mr. Wassweiler's areas of experience include bankruptcy and workouts; creditors' rights litigation, such as breach of contract, replevin, garnishment and other state law remedies; UCC and other real estate litigation; commercial and consumer foreclosures and lease disputes; and consumer credit litigation involving truth-in-lending laws and other federal and state consumer statutes. He earned his B.B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from William Mitchell College of Law. Before earning his J.D. degree, Mr. Wassweiler was a certified public accountant for several years at a large international accounting firm. He is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association (immediate past president, Bankruptcy Section; member and past chair, Pro Bono Committee) the American Bar Association, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Wassweiler also is a former chair of the Bankruptcy Institute Planning Committee. He was honored as a Super Lawyer by Minnesota Law & Politics, 2006 - 2007.
