SARA E. HIRSHON is an associate in Verrill Dana's Litigation Group. She assists clients and applies her keen attention to detail and strong organization skills to efficiently managing all aspects of litigation and trial preparation in both state and federal courts. Ms. Hirshon has handled complex matters on behalf of Fortune 500 companies, closely held private companies, not-for-profit corporations, government agencies, families and individuals. Her pre-trial experience includes the drafting of pleadings, taking and defending depositions, scheduling and conducting discovery, and the preparation of expert witnesses. Prior to joining Verrill Dana LLP, Ms. Hirshon was a commercial litigation associate at some of Boston and Philadelphia's best-known law firms. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts and Maine. Ms. Hirshon is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She earned her B.A. degree, class honors, from the University of Michigan and her J.D. degree from Boston University School of Law. BLAIR A. JONES is a member with the Portland law firm of Germani MartemucciRiggle & Hill, where he practices in the areas of products liability defense, personal injury, transportation, construction, and medical malpractice law. He earned his B.A. degree from Franklin & Marshall College and his J.D. degree from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis & Clark College, where he was honored with the award for excellence in trial advocacy. Mr. Jones is a member of the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys, the Maine State Bar Association, and the American Bar Association, where he is the former chair of the Commercial Transportation Litigation Committee and is the current chair of the Tri-State Defense Lawyers Association. GEORGE ROYLE is a member of the trial services group, concentrating in complex business and insolvency-related disputes, appeals, and criminal matters. Mr. Royle joined Drummond Woodsum after seven years of commercial litigation, arbitration, and bankruptcy practice at Latham & Watkins LLP in New York City, where he represented small and large businesses, financial institutions and investment funds in litigation and bankruptcy matters nationwide and before international arbitration tribunals. Having represented first-time and seasoned litigants alike, his expertise lies in conceiving and executing pertinent and practical litigation strategies, in and out of the courtroom, that meet his clients' business needs while managing litigation costs. Mr. Royle is admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts and New York. He is also admitted to practice in the state courts of Maine, Massachusetts and New York and federal district courts in the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York, and the District of Massachusetts. Mr. Royle earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Amherst College and his J.D. degree from New York University School of Law. NICHOLAS H. WALSH is a Portland, Maine, attorney with practice areas in admiralty law, waterfront business law, probate litigation and maritime personal injury litigation. Mr. Walsh is a former officer in the United States Coast Guard. He earned his B.A. degree from Connecticut College and he graduated with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Mr. Walsh is a member of the federal and state bars of Maine and he is admitted before the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
