DANIEL J. EDWARDS is general counsel for East Brown Cow Management, Inc., a commercial property management company based in Portland, Maine. In his role as general counsel, Mr. Edwards provides litigation support for matters ranging from collections to deed, easement and lease disputes. In addition to litigation work, he also provides transactional support in matters ranging from vendor contract review to lease drafting and review. Prior to East Brown Cow Management, Inc., Mr. Edwards was an associate with Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson, P.A. and a member of the firm's litigation and real estate practice groups. His practice focused on a wide range of real estate litigation matters, including commercial disputes, transactions and contracts. Mr. Edwards regularly represented property owners in disputes over boundaries, title defects, easements and other real estate issues. He is member of the Maine State and Massachusetts bar associations, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, District of Maine. Mr. Edwards earned his B.A. degree, with high distinction, from the University of Maine and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Maine School of Law. GLENN ISRAEL is a shareholder at Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson, P.A., one of northern New England's largest law firms, with more than 85 attorneys in Portland and Augusta, Maine and Manchester, New Hampshire. He concentrates his practice in litigation and arbitration of business disputes concentrating on labor, employment and real estate cases. Mr. Israel frequently represents clients in proceedings before state and federal courts and agencies, as well as in private arbitration proceedings under the AAA rules. A portion of his practice also consists of serving as a mediator in real estate matters. Mr. Israel is a, magna cum laude, graduate of Boston College Law School, a member of The Order of The Coif, and a recipient of the Cornelius J. Monaghan award for scholarship and leadership. He also served as executive editor of the Boston College Environmental Affairs Law Review. Mr. Israel earned his B.S. degree from Syracuse University. He is admitted to practice in Maine and Massachusetts. DAVID A. SOLEY heads the real estate litigation group at the law firm of Bernstein, Shur, Sawyer & Nelson, P.A. in Portland, Maine. He is the author of the American Bar Association's nationally acclaimed Real Estate Litigation Handbook. In Mr. Soley's more than 27 years of experience as a trial lawyer in Maine and Washington DC, he has handled hundreds of trials, contested hearings, and depositions. He regularly represents entrepreneurs, property owners, developers, title insurance companies, real estate brokers, and financial institutions in dispute over boundaries, titles, easements, access to properties, warranties, purchase and sale agreements, leases, and other real estate issues. When he is not practicing law, Mr. Soley exhibits his passion for real estate by developing commercial properties in the Greater Portland, Maine area. Mr. Soley currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Maine Real Estate & Development Association.
