FRANCIS M. JACKSON has practiced in the Portland area for more than 30 years. His firm, Jackson & MacNichol, specializes in social security disability claims and represents claimants in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. He is also one of the few New England lawyers to represent veterans in their claims before the Court of Appeals for Veteran's Claims. Mr. Jackson is a graduate of Bowdoin College, summa cum laude, and the University of Maine School of Law. MURROUGH H. O'BRIEN is an attorney at Jackson & MacNichol and has practiced in Portland since 1975. He maintained his own practice until 2005, when he joined Jackson & MacNichol in an "of counsel" status. Mr. O'Brien has specialized in social security disability claims since the early 1990s. He earned his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from Harvard College and his law degree from the University of Maine.
