PETER J. CYR founded the Law Offices of Peter J. Cyr in Portland, Maine. His practice focuses on criminal and civil litigation in State and Federal Court. He has tried cases to juries ranging from murder and drug trafficking to operating after suspension. He has argued orally numerous times before the Maine Supreme Judicial Court and U.S.C.A. 1st Circuit. Mr. Cyr has vast experience in all areas of trial procedure. He started his law career in 2000, working for an established trial attorney in Portland, where his first case was second chairing a murder trial. As an associate, Mr. Cyr was lead counsel on numerous criminal jury trials and contested hearings. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from Providence College and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law. Mr. Cyr received the University of Maine Alumni Association Award for academic excellence in writing and oral communication skills. EDMUND R. FOLSOM practices criminal defense and OUI defense at The Boulos Law Firm in Saco. He is a graduate of the University of Maine and the University of Maine School of Law and is admitted to practice in all Maine courts. Mr. Folsom is a former deputy district attorney for Cumberland County, Maine. He served as a board member of the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (MACDL) from 1996 to 2002 and is currently a member of that organization, as well as of the Maine State, American and York County bar associations. Mr. Folsom has spoken on criminal defense issues at continuing legal education seminars for the Maine State Bar Association, the MACDL and the York County Bar Association. LEONARD I. SHARON is an attorney with a multi-state criminal defense practice centered in Auburn, Maine. Mr. Sharon has been practicing for 41 years. He is a past professor at the University of Maine Law School, where he taught evidence and negotiations, and is a frequent speaker on the topic of criminal defense. He is a member of the Maine and Pennsylvania bar associations, he is the chair person of the Governor's Clemency Board (since 1995), the National Association of Trial Lawyers, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mr. Sharon earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.
