KEVIN F. BRESS is a managing member in the law firm of Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A., where he practices in the areas of estate administration and planning, trusts and elder law. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore, where he teaches in both the graduate tax program and in the law school in the areas of estate taxation and elder law. Mr. Bress co-authored the books Guiding Those Left Behind in Maryland and A Will Is Not Enough in Maryland. He has served as an expert commentator for Lexis-Nexis. Mr. Bress earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and both his Master's and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Baltimore. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Attorneys and the Maryland State Bar Association (member, Section on Estates and Trust Law; Section on Elder Law). MICHAEL P. DONNELLY is a principal with Offit Kurman, where he concentrates his practice in estate planning, estate administration, and general corporate and tax matters. He lectures frequently on estate and tax planning matters. Mr. Donnelly has served as an adjunct professor of estate planning and is currently teaching estate planning at the University of Baltimore Law School. He is a regular lecturer for the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, Inc., National Business Institute and numerous other organizations. Mr. Donnelly earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Amherst College and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Maryland Law School. He previously served as chairman of the Estates and Trusts Section of the Maryland State Bar Association, Inc., past president of the Baltimore Association of Tax Council and past director of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council. STEPHEN R. ELVILLE is a principal with Elville & Associates, P.C., where his work is centered in estate planning and elder law with special emphasis in areas of tax planning, asset protection planning, disability, special needs planning and long-term care planning. Prior to forming the law firm of Elville & Associates, P.C., Mr. Elville worked as a principal in the law firm of Walsh & Elville, P.A., as an estate planning, elder law, and taxation attorney. He is a frequent guest lecturer for National Business Institute and has formerly advised the Genworth Network. In addition, he has lectured at Villa Julie College and his articles have appeared in The Business Monthly. He is admitted to practice before the Maryland Court of Appeals and the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Elville is a member of the Maryland State and the American bar associations. He is also a member of the Elder Counsel, the Wealth Counsel, The Advisor's Forum, Medicaid Practice Systems and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys. He is the past chair of the Howard County Bar Association Estates & Trusts and Elder Law sections and is the past president of the Coalition of Geriatric Services (COGS). Mr. Elville earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Baltimore and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law. CHARLES S. WINNER is the senior partner in the Baltimore law firm of Fisher & Winner, LLP, where he practices in the areas of estates and trusts, corporate, business partnership, tax, healthcare and professional responsibility. Mr. Winner earned his LL.B. degree from the University of Baltimore. He is a member of the Bar Association of Baltimore City (past member, Committee on Professional Ethics and Grievances; past member and vice chairman of the Attorney Grievance Commission of Maryland Inquiry Committee; past member and vice chair, Review Board; member, Baltimore Estate Planning Council, past president),and the Maryland State Bar Association, Inc. (member, sections on Corporations, Banking and Business, Estate and Trust Law, Real Property, Planning and Zoning, Taxation; past member and past chairman, Lawyer Dispute Resolution Committee; member, Ethics Committee, chairman 2000-2001, Ethics 2000 Committee, Professionalism Committee and Faculty; and Citizens Law Related Education Committee). He is a Fellow of the Maryland State and Baltimore City Bar Foundation and is a trustee of the Maryland State Bar Association Insurance Trust. Mr. Winner is a member of the American Bar Association, the National Health Lawyers Association, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, Inc., Board, (past chair) Lifebridge Healthcare System Board (Budget and Finance Committee). He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, Planned Giving Roundtable (chairman 1996-present). He is recognized by his peers in Woodward White Inc's 2010 and earlier Editions of Best Lawyers in America (Trusts and Estates). Mr. Winner is also listed as a 2010 and earlier additions of Maryland Super Lawyer. He is a frequent speaker on estate, trust, business, tax, professional responsibility and ethical subjects.
