KEVIN F. BRESS is a managing member in the law firm of Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A., where he practices in the areas of estate administration and planning, trusts, and elder law. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore, where he teaches in both the graduate tax program and at the law school in the areas of estate taxation and elder law. Mr. Bress co-authored the books Guiding Those Left Behind in Maryland and A Will Is Not Enough in Maryland. He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and both his master's and J.D degrees from the University of Baltimore. Mr. Bress is a member of the National Academy of Elder Attorneys and the Maryland State Bar Association (member, Section on Estates and Trust Law; Section on Elder Law). THOMAS J. GISRIEL is a partner in the law firm of Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A. He has more than 30 years of experience practicing law. Mr. Gisriel practices in the areas of litigation, real estate, municipal law, land use, guardianships and antitrust. He is a former columnist for the Corridor Real Estate Journal and is a frequent speaker to various professional organizations on his areas of expertise. Mr. Gisriel is a former member of the Maryland State Bar Association Committee on Judicial Appointments for Baltimore County and a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (Litigation, Estates and Trusts sections). He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center. WM. HOLLAND WILMER II is of counsel to Butler, Melfa & Taylor and Francomano & Francomano PA. He practices in the areas of trusts and estates, corporate, and taxation law. Mr. Wilmer has spoken for various professional groups on his areas of practice. He earned his B.A. degree from Yale University and his LL.B. degree from Harvard University. CHARLES S. WINNER is the senior partner in the law firm of Fisher & Winner, LLP, in Baltimore, Maryland. He practices in the areas of estates and trusts, corporate, business partnership, and professional responsibility. Mr. Winner earned his LL.B. degree from the University of Baltimore. He is a member of the American Bar Association (serves on its Ethic 20-20 Commission); Bar Association of Baltimore City (Committee on Professional Ethics and Grievances, past member; Attorney Grievance Commission of the Maryland Inquiry Committee, past member and vice chairman; The Review Board, past member and vice chair; Baltimore Estate Planning Council, member and past president); and the Maryland State Bar Association (sections on Corporations, Banking and Business, Estate and Trust Law, Real Property, Planning and Zoning, Taxation; Lawyer Dispute Resolution Committee, past member and past chairman; Ethics Committee, member, chairman 2000-2001, Ethics 2000 Committee, Professionalism Committee and Faculty; and Citizens Law Related Education Committee).
