KEVIN F. BRESS is a managing member in the law firm of Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A., where he practices in the areas of estate administration and planning, trusts and elder law. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore, where he teaches in both the graduate tax program and in the law school in the areas of estate taxation and elder law. Mr. Bress co-authored the books Guiding Those Left Behind in Maryland and A Will Is Not Enough in Maryland. He has served as an expert commentator for Lexis-Nexis. Mr. Bress earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and both his Master's and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Baltimore. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Attorneys and the Maryland State Bar Association (member, Section on Estates and Trust Law; Section on Elder Law). MICHAEL P. DONNELLY is a principal with Offit Kurman, where he concentrates his practice in estate planning, estate administration, and general corporate and tax matters. He lectures frequently on estate and tax planning matters. Mr. Donnelly has served as an adjunct professor of estate planning and is currently teaching estate planning at the University of Baltimore Law School. He has been a regular lecturer for the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers, Inc., National Business Institute, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and numerous other organizations. Mr. Donnelly earned his B.A. degree, cum laude, from Amherst College and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Maryland Law School. He previously served as chairman of the Estates and Trusts Section of the Maryland State Bar Association, Inc., past president of the Baltimore Association of Tax Council and past director of the Baltimore Estate Planning Council. STEPHEN R. ELVILLE is the managing principal of Elville & Associates, P.C., where his work is centered in estate planning and elder law with special emphasis in areas of tax planning, asset protection planning, disability, special needs planning and long-term care planning. Prior to forming the law firm of Elville & Associates, P.C., Mr. Elville worked as a principal in the law firm of Walsh & Elville, P.A., as an estate planning, elder law, and taxation attorney. He is a frequent guest lecturer for National Business Institute and has formerly advised the Genworth Network. In addition, he has lectured at Villa Julie College and his articles have appeared in The Business Monthly. He is admitted to practice before the Maryland Court of Appeals and the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Elville is a member of the Maryland State and the American bar associations. He is also a member of the Elder Counsel, the Wealth Counsel, The Advisor's Forum, Medicaid Practice Systems and the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys. He is the past chair of the Howard County Bar Association Estates & Trusts and Elder Law sections and is the past president of the Coalition of Geriatric Services (COGS). Mr. Elville earned his B.A. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Baltimore and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law. VICTORIA L. GRACE is a partner in the Lutherville law firm of Wase, Wase & Grace, LLC, where she practices in the areas of estate planning, estate administration and related litigation. Ms. Grace previously served as an adjunct professor on healthcare law at the State University of New York Utica/Rome and lectures on estate planning issues to attorneys and laypersons. She is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law where she teaches upper division classes on estate planning for families and seniors. Ms. Grace is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, The Maryland State Bar Association, the Bar Associations of Baltimore County and Baltimore City (member: Elder Law and Trusts and Estates sections) and the American and Women's bar associations. Ms. Grace also is a member of the Board of Directors of Civil Justice, Inc. and an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law. She earned her B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Hartwick College, her M.S. degree, cum laude, from the State University of New York Utica/Rome and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore. BARRETT R. KING is an attorney in the law firm of Elville & Associates, P.C., where he practices in the areas of estate/tax planning, estate administration and estate litigation. Mr. King regularly assists clients in preparing wills, trusts, powers of attorney, living wills/advance directives, business planning, estate administration, fiduciary representation and a host of other areas. He also represents clients in the Orphans' Court and the District and Circuit Courts of Maryland in will contests, business disputes, guardianships and estate and trust litigation. With regard to matters of taxation, Mr. King defends clients in tax controversies involving Maryland and federal tax authorities. Mr. King has been an adjunct professor of philosophy and biomedical ethics at the Community College of Baltimore County since 2007. He received his B.A. degree in philosophy from Salisbury University and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law. WEINKAM JR. is a partner in the law firm of Weinkam & Weinkam, P.A., where his practice areas include elder law, criminal law and business law. Mr. Weinkam has lectured for attorneys on matters related to elder law. He is a member of the Baltimore City and Baltimore County bar associations, the Maryland State Bar Association, Inc. (member, Elder Law Committee), the District of Columbia Bar and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
