KEVIN F. BRESS is a managing member in the law firm of Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A., where he practices in the areas of estate administration and planning, trusts and elder law. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore, where he teaches in both the graduate tax program and in the law school in the areas of estate taxation and elder law. Mr. Bress co-authored the books Guiding Those Left Behind in Maryland and A Will Is Not Enough in Maryland. He has served as an expert commentator for Lexis-Nexis. Mr. Bress earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland and both his master's and Juris Doctorate degrees from the University of Baltimore. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Attorneys and the Maryland State Bar Association (member, Section on Estates and Trust Law; Section on Elder Law). THOMAS J. GISRIEL is a partner in the law firm of Hodes, Pessin & Katz, P.A. He has more than 30 years of experience practicing law. Mr. Gisriel practices in the areas of litigation, real estate, municipal law, land use, guardianships and antitrust. He is a former columnist for the Corridor Real Estate Journal and is a frequent speaker to various professional organizations on his areas of expertise. Mr. Gisriel is a former member of the Maryland State Bar Association Committee on Judicial Appointments for Baltimore County and a member of the Maryland State Bar Association (Litigation, Estates and Trusts sections). He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Pennsylvania and his J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center. VICTORIA L. GRACE is a partner in the Lutherville law firm of Wase, Wase & Grace, LLC, where she practices in the areas of estate planning, estate administration and related litigation. Ms. Grace previously served as an adjunct professor on healthcare law at the State University of New York Utica/Rome and lectures on estate planning issues to attorneys and laypersons. She is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law where she teaches upper division classes on estate planning for families and seniors. Ms. Grace is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, The Maryland State Bar Association, the Bar Associations of Baltimore County and Baltimore City (member: Elder Law and Trusts and Estates sections) and the American and Women's bar associations. Ms. Grace also is a member of the Board of Directors of Civil Justice, Inc. and an adjunct professor at the University of Baltimore School of Law. She earned her B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Hartwick College, her M.S. degree, cum laude, from the State University of New York Utica/Rome and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore. ELIZABETH A. GREEN is a member with Franklin & Prokopik, P.C., where she concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate and corporate law. She has particular experience in representing individuals, families and fiduciaries in the areas of estate planning and administration, guardianship proceedings, business succession planning as well as planning for families with members who have special needs. Ms. Green has written articles on charitable trusts, changes to the Maryland estate tax and the legal issues raised by the collection and storage of cord-blood. She graduated from George Washington University Law School where she was an articles editor for the Public Contract Law Journal and on the executive board of the Moot Court. Ms. Green served as the law clerk to Judge Robert I.H. Hammerman, chief judge of the Baltimore City Circuit Court. She is currently a member of the American Bar Association (Real Property, Probate and Trust Law sections), the Maryland State Bar Association, Inc. (Estates and Trust Law Section, and Estate (elder law section) and Gift Tax Study Group), and the Baltimore Estate Planning Counsel.
