DR. SEGUN T. DAWODU is an associate professor with Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. Dr. Dawodu provides outpatient and office based specialist PMR services including interventional pain management, musculoskeletal care and electrodiagnostic medicine. He performs interventional spinal/pain management procedures and interprets electrodiagnostic tests. He does a network of lectures in pain and stroke management in different countries and conferences. Dr. Dawodu is board certified in Sports Medicine, Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, Pain Medicine/Management, Electrodiagnostic Medicine, Independent Medical Examiner and by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He earned his M.D. degree from the University of Ibadan in Ibadan, Nigeria and his postgraduate Diploma of Law - Medical Law and Ethics from the University of London. MODERATOR - JONATHAN E. GOLDBERG is an attorney with the law firm of Schochor, Federico & Staton, P.A., where he practices in the areas of medical negligence, personal injury and civil litigation. Mr. Goldberg previously has spoken for various professional groups on his areas of practice. He is a member of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, the Maryland State Bar Association, the American (member, Section of Litigation; Health Law Litigation Committee) Bar Association and the U.S. Supreme Court Bar. Mr. Goldberg earned his B.A. degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore, where he was the recipient of the American Jurisprudence awards for Contracts I and Trial Advocacy. DR. IRA KORNBLUTH is the founder of SMART Pain Management. Dr. Kornbluth does consultant work for various companies. He has written numerous publications and books in his areas of expertise. He also keeps up-to-date on the latest developments in pain care by serving as a reviewer for medical journals related to his specialty. Dr. Kornbluth is a member of the Pain Special Interest Group of Maryland (past president), the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (board member in Maryland), the Maryland Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He is board certified by ABPMR Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Kornbluth earned his B.A. degree from Brandeis University, his M.A. degree from Boston University School of Medicine and his Doctor of Medicine degree from Jefferson Medical College. After chief residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, he completed a fellowship in pain management at the Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C. He is also certified by the ABIME for Independent Medical Evaluations. JEN NUSSBAUM is a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant with Proactive Medical Consultants, LLC, where she provides medical and nursing opinions as the expert on health, illness and injury and on the inner workings of the healthcare system. Ms. Nussbaum assists injured workers with meeting rehabilitation needs and return back to work goals with First Rehabilitation Resources, Inc. She is a member of the Medical-Legal Consulting Institute, Inc. (Certified Legal Nurse Consultant), American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants and Baltimore Association of Legal Nurse Consultants. She is a Certified Case Manager. Ms. Nussbaum earned his B.S. degree from Northeastern University. DEBORAH M. PATTERSON is a registered nurse with MedAssurant. She has been in continuous practice for 36 years. Ms. Patterson is a preceptor for medical date extraction teaching coders and nurses for MedAssurant. The majority of her career was spent as a full time emergency department charge/staff nurse for North Arundel Hospital. Ms. Patterson is a member of the Maryland Critical Incident Stress Management Team and American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (both National and Greater Baltimore Chapters). She is a former member of the International Association of Forensic Nurses. ELLEN T. PLUMMER is a registered nurse with R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center, where she is the senior clinical nurse II. Ms. Plummer is an instructor for the Advance Trauma Course for Nurses and National Disaster Life Support. She is certified by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. Ms. Plummer earned her B.S.N. degree from Wilmington College, her M.J. degree, with honors, from Widener University School of Law, her D.L. degree, with honors, from Widener University School of Law, her M.B.A. degree from Wilmington University and her M.S.N. degree from Wilmington University. DR. BERNHARD ZUNKELER is a neurosurgeon in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Zunkeler is board certified by The American Board of Neurological Surgery and The American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons (fellow), German Neurosurgical Society, North American Spine Society, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Congress of Neurological Surgeons. Dr. Zunkeler is a previous surgical resident instructor at Union Memorial Hospital. He earned his M.D. degree from the University of Münster, Germany and his Ph.D. degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Münster, Germany. Dr. Zunkeler also completed his clinical training from the University of Münster, Germany.
