JEFFREY T. AGNOR is an attorney with Davis, Agnor, Rapaport & Skalny, LLC. He has dedicated his practice to representing entrepreneurs, businesses, investors and non-profit organizations for 25 years. He counsels clients in all phases of their business life, from start-up through acquisition. Mr. Agnor assists clients with contracts, employment matters, private offerings, business sales and acquisitions, intellectual property, loan transactions, real estate matters, and stockholder disputes. He also assists clients with the complex legal and regulatory issues associated with raising capital and documenting agreements among owners. Mr. Agnor volunteers his time and expertise in the areas of entrepreneurial development and education, economic development, environmental initiatives, and support of the local arts. He serves as chair of the Advisory Board for the Howard Community College Center for the Entrepreneurial and Business Excellence. Mr. Agnor is on the Board of Directors of the Howard County Green Business Council and chairs the Advisory Board of The James and Anne Robinson Foundation. He is past president of the Howard County Arts Council and has served on the Advocacy Board for Rep Stage. Mr. Agnor served 7 years on the Board of Directors of Leadership Howard County. THOMAS COLLINSON is currently a partner with Merrill, Cruttenden & Collinson, P.A., in Annapolis, Maryland. He focuses his practice on estates & trusts planning and administration, as well as business transactions. Mr. Collinson routinely represents clients with estate planning needs; advises clients about estate planning techniques; and prepares wills, trusts, durable powers of attorney and advance medical directives. He also handles administration of estates. Mr. Collinson advises a number of for-profit and not-for-profit businesses on general business operations, agreements, governance, and management issues, on an ongoing basis. He has represented buyers and sellers of businesses in the sale of stock and assets; he has prepared numerous general business, commercial and licensing agreements; and he has incorporated C corporations, Subchapter S corporations and limited liability companies with multiple equity owners and handled their corporate governance. Prior to employment with Merrill, Cruttenden & Collinson, P.A., Mr. Collinson operated a solo practice from 2005 through 2008, where he focused primarily on business issues and transactions. Before that, he was a controller, finance director, and chief financial officer for several trade associations and a charity. Mr. Collinson was the director of finance for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) from 1998 through 1999, where he restructured a finance department in need of better financial procedures. He is a member of the Anne Arundel County, Maryland State and American bar associations. Mr. Collinson earned his B.S. degree from Frostburg State University and his J.D. degree from the David A. Clarke School of Law. He passed the AICPA Certified Public Accountant Exam in 1997. CHARLES G. MCBEE , CPA, MBA, CVA is a principal and leader of the business valuation and litigation support department of the accounting and consulting firm of Lombardo Wagner Stitcher & Co., LLC. Mr. McBee's responsibilities include valuations of closely held companies, tax preparation services, general accounting services, QuickBooks software consulting, tax planning and a variety of litigation support. His primary area of expertise is in the valuation of closely held businesses, preparation of tax returns and accounting services across a variety of industries, including extensive experience with general contractors, as well as the real estate industry. Mr. McBee earned his B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Maryland in 1994. He also earned his Masters of Business Administration from Loyola College in Maryland in 2001. Mr. McBee is a certified public accountant (CPA), licensed to practice in Maryland by the Maryland State Board of Accountancy. He is also a certified valuation analyst (CVA), accredited by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). Mr. McBee is a member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and a QuickBooks Certified Pro-Advisor, as well as a QuickBooks POS Certified Pro Advisor. JIGITA A. PATEL is an attorney with the law firm of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes and is a certified public accountant in the state of Maryland. Her legal, accounting and business background allows her to comprehensively represent businesses and individuals in litigation, taxation, estate planning, commercial litigation, labor and employment, arbitration of matters involving contract disputes, business torts, personal injury, and other civil matters. Ms. Patel is a member of the American Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association. She earned her B. Commerce degree from the University of Bombay; her M.B.A. degree from Sam Houston State University; and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law. JOSEPH M. SCHNITZER is a managing member of the Baltimore firm of Schnitzer & Hymer, L.L.C., where he practices in the areas of business entities, taxation, estates, trusts and healthcare law. He has lectured for the MICPEL, Maryland Association of CPAs and other business groups on the topics of limited liability companies, the representation of healthcare providers and choice of business entities, and various estate planning topics. Mr. Schnitzer is a contributing writer and editor of Maryland Limited Liability Company Forms and Practice Manual, Data Trace Legal Publishing. He earned his B.S. degree from Towson State University and his J.D. degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Mr. Schnitzer is a certified public accountant in Maryland. He is a member of the Bar Association of Baltimore County, the Maryland State Bar Association (member, Special Joint Committee on Maryland Limited Liability Company Act and Tax Section) and the Baltimore Estate Planning Council.
