LAWRENCE S. CONN is a principal in the Baltimore firm of Baxter, Baker, Sidle, Conn & Jones, P.A. His practice emphasizes real estate development, including leasing, financing and title insurance law. He is a former assistant attorney general at the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development. Mr. Conn is the vice-chairman of the American Bar Association Real Property, Probate and Trust Section's Committee on Title Insurance and Surveys. He serves on the Code Revision Committee of the Maryland State Bar Association, Inc. Real Property Section (chair, 2004-2005). Mr. Conn was a member of the Section Council for the Real Property Section of the Maryland State Bar Association, Inc. He received his B.A. degree, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Virginia and his J.D. degree from the University of Maryland where he was Order of the Coif and an assistant editor of The Maryland Law Review. He has drafted significant Maryland legislation in the real estate and housing areas, including the Assisted Housing Preservation Act and the Community Reinvestment Fund Act. Mr. Conn has published articles and lectured extensively on real estate, title insurance and housing law. JEFFREY S. GREENBERG is an associate with Ober, Kaler, Grimes & Shriver, P.C., where he focuses his practice on creditors' rights, workouts and bankruptcy. He is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and is admitted to the Court of Appeals of Maryland and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. Mr. Greenberg published an article on “Bankruptcy Remoteness Survives.” He received his B.S. degree from the University of Maryland and his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Maryland-School of Law. NANCY GUSMAN is an attorney with Montero Law Group, LLP. Ms. Gusman heads the real estate settlement department for Montero Law Group, LLC, where she focuses her practice on foreclosure, foreclosure prevention, bankruptcy, investment property, distress transactions, delayed settlement transactions, low credit financing, and advising clients with regard to state and federal regulations in financing. She is admitted to practice in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia, and she is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association and the Bar Association of the District of Columbia. Ms. Gusman is currently the executive vice president, and has previously sat on the Board of Directors and chaired the Education Committee, for the Maryland Land Title Association. She has her title producer's license in Maryland and Virginia. Ms. Gusman instructs continuing education courses and provides non-accredited classes and seminars to real estate agents, loan officers, prospective homebuyers and homeowners facing distress situations. She earned her B.A. degree from the University of Maryland, College Park Maryland and her J.D. degree from Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, Washington, D.C., where she was awarded the Corpus Juris Secondum Certificate of Merit upon graduation. SALLY P. McCASH is a principal of the law firm of O'Malley, Miles, Nylen & Gilmore, P.A., located in Calverton, LaPlata and Annapolis, Maryland. She graduated from the University of Maryland with high honors and from the Catholic University, Columbus School of Law. Ms. McCash is licensed to practice before the federal District courts for Maryland and the District of Columbia. She is a licensed title insurance producer in the state of Maryland and Commonwealth of Virginia. Organizing and supervising a department of eight attorneys, Ms. McCash is involved with property development, HOA collections, title claims litigation, and foreclosures. She is chairman of the Agent Section for the Maryland Land Title Association Board of Directors. Ms. McCash is a former adjunct professor at the Columbus School of Law and frequent speaker for the Maryland Land Title Association. She has presented seminars regarding title examination and closing issues to attorneys and title agents in the Washington Metropolitan area.
