BRIAN J. CREPEAU is a partner in the law firm of Rosenberg | Martin | Greenberg, LLP. Mr. Crepeau concentrates on federal and state tax controversy and litigation matters for individual and corporate taxpayers. He represents clients in all phases of administrative disputes before the Internal Revenue Service and Comptroller of Maryland and litigates tax cases before the United States Tax Court. Mr. Crepeau represents corporations in complex audits and provides tax planning advice on a wide range of issues. His controversy and litigation expertise and experience extends to all areas of federal income taxation, as well as state and local tax matters. As a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner, he is particularly skilled in cases involving accounting practices and procedures and fraud. Before graduating from law school, Mr. Crepeau worked for a regional public accounting firm, PG&E Corporation, and a global consulting firm. In this capacity, he has advised private and public companies across multiple industries on SEC and financial reporting, taxation matters, and Sarbanes-Oxley issues. Prior to joining the firm in 2008, Mr. Crepeau practiced in Annapolis, Maryland and acted as a consultant to international law firm's on accounting fraud, SEC investigations, revenue recognition issues, fraudulent business mergers and acquisitions, and tax fraud and evasion. He is a member of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants, the American Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Maryland State and Anne Arundel bar associations. Mr. Crepeau earned his B.S. degree from Bridgewater State University and his J.D. degree from American University, Washington College of Law. LARRY M. EPSTEIN is a stockholder, principal and a certified public accountant with Hertzbach & Company, P.A., which is a certified public accounting and management consulting firm. Mr. Epstein heads the firm's litigation and business valuation departments. He is a certified public accountant, certified in Maryland, Pennsylvania and Delaware, and is a certified valuation analyst. Mr. Epstein earned his B.A. and M.S. degrees from the University of Maryland. He has been accepted as an expert in valuation and financial matters in both state and federal courts and has testified in depositions and trials. Mr. Epstein teaches business valuation to various chapters of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. He is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, the National Society of Tax Professionals, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Epstein is an ABV through the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a CFF (Certified Financial Forensic expert) through the AICPA. JIM LIANG is an attorney with Rosenberg | Martin | Greenberg, LLP. Mr. Liang's practice involves representation of individuals and entities during all stages of federal and state tax controversies and litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Liang was employed as a certified public accountant, during which time he prepared individual, business, and trust tax returns and performed audits and reviews of a wide range of businesses, including health care, real estate, and casualty and life insurance companies. He is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland, for the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, and for the United States Tax Court. Mr. Liang is an active, licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Maryland. He earned his B.A. degree from Washington University, his B.S. degree from the University of Maryland, and his J.D. and LL.M. degrees, in taxation, from the University of Baltimore. JIGITA A. PATEL is an attorney with the law firm of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Maryland. Ms. Patel's legal, accounting and business background allows her to comprehensively represent businesses and individuals in litigation, taxation, estate planning, commercial litigation, labor and employment, arbitration of matters involving contract disputes, business torts, personal injury, and other civil matters. She is a member of the American Bar Association and The Maryland State Bar Association. Ms. Patel earned her B. Commerce degree from the University of Bombay, her M.B.A. degree from Sam Houston State University and her J.D. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
