DEAN AMROSE is of counsel with the law firm of McGrath & Kane. After pursuing a public interest career for several years following graduation from Boston University Law School, Mr. Amrose joined the then existing firm of White, Inker, Aronson, P.C., one of the leading domestic relations firms in Massachusetts. Since that time over 50% of his practice has been concentrated in family law litigation appearing in courts and having tried cases throughout the commonwealth. He has appeared as a guest on local cable news talk shows, lectured in basic and specialized family law seminars at Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and Suffolk University School of Law in addition to privately sponsored talks. An article (co-written with now Associate Justice William McSweeney) and presentation on the role of the guardian ad litem was selected for publication in The Best of MCLE. Mr. Amrose is a member of the Family Law sections of the Boston Bar Association and the Massachusetts Bar Association, a current trial advisor in the Harvard Law School Trial Advocacy program. JOHN G. DIPIANO is a principal and founding partner of DiPiano Godson LLP. His main area of practice is civil litigation with a focus on Family and Probate Litigation. Mr. DiPiano was employed as counsel for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue Child Support Enforcement Division before going into private practice. He is a member of the University of Massachusetts Club and Justinian Law Society. Mr. DiPiano also is a member of the Massachusetts and U.S. District Court bars. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts, magna cum laude, with a dual major in English and Philosophy. Mr. DiPiano earned his J.D. degree, cum laude, from the New England School of Law. KAREN SWEENEY SHEA is a member of the Boston law firm of McGrath & Kane. She was formerly an assistant district attorney for Middlesex County, as well as a member of the law firm of Holland & Knight. Ms. Shea's practice is concentrated in the area of domestic relations. She has lectured and authored material on aspects of the family law practice for MCLE and lectured on trial practice and family law at Boston College Law School. Ms. Shea earned her undergraduate degree from Merrimack College and her J.D. degree from Boston College Law School.
