EDWIN L. HIGHTOWER JD, MBA, has practiced law in Louisiana for more than 15 years and recently started the new law firm, Hightower Commercial Law Center, LLC, in the Baton Rouge area. He has worked with closely-held companies, business owners, entrepreneurs, and their insurers in protecting their legal interests in court and contract negotiations. Additionally, he has defended numerous professionals, including law enforcement officers, architects, engineers, real estate agents, appraisers, contractors and others, concerning claims of malpractice. Mr. Hightower earned his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy, at West Point, New York, his law degree from Tulane Law School, and his MBA graduate degree from the Louisiana State University School of Business. He is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and Texas. Mr. Hightower has represented clients in state and federal courts throughout Louisiana and had one case presented to the United States Supreme Court. Recently, he has become active in the areas related to animal law issues, including matters associated with veterinary medicine and animal trusts. CHARLOTTE C. McDANIEL McGEHEE is an attorney in the law firm of Charlotte C. McDaniel McGehee, A Professional Law Corporation, where she practices in the areas of personal injury, family law, class actions, civil rights litigation with a concentration in Title VII claims, and contract resolution. She earned her B.A. degree from Southeastern Louisiana University and her J.D. degree from Southern University Law Center. Ms. McDaniel McGehee has taught classes in legal research, ethical considerations, and general practice preparedness. She is a member of the Baton Rouge and Louisiana State bar associations, the Democratic State Central Committee, the Louisiana Association for Justice (formally the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association), and the Federal 5th Circuit Bar Association. ERIC R. MILLER represents management in the areas of labor and employment law with The Kullman Firm. Mr. Miller has extensive experience in the representation of management in all phases of employee relations, including collective bargaining, union avoidance training, EEO enforcement and wage and hour audits, as well as defending claims arising under the Civil Rights Act, the ADEA, the ADA, the FMLA, the FLSA, the OSHA, the IRCA of 1986 and the NLRA, as well as state employment laws in Louisiana and Texas. He regularly assists employers in drafting and seeking enforcement of employment contracts, policies and handbooks, and provides ongoing advice, counsel, and training to clients regarding employment issues. Mr. Miller is board-certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and is rated AV in Martindale-Hubbell. He received his B.A. degree from Tulane University and his J.D. degree from Louisiana State University. Mr. Miller is admitted to practice in the states of Texas and Louisiana, and before the Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals and all the U. S. District Courts for Louisiana and Texas. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association (member, Labor and Employment Law Section), State Bar of Texas (member, Labor and Employment Law Section), Houston Bar Association (member, Labor & Employment Law Section), and the Baton Rouge Bar Association. Mr. Miller is also a member of the Wex Malone Inns of Court, the Federal Bar Association, and the Republican National Lawyers Association.
