ADRIANNE L. BAUMGARTNER is a partner in the law firm of Porteous, Hainkel and Johnson, L.L.P., where she maintains a litigation practice in the areas of personal injury, insurance defense, property damage, bad faith, and extracontractual. She has tried numerous judge and jury trials representing many personal lines and commercial carriers along with their insureds in automobile and premise liability cases. She has represented State Farm since 1978. Initially practicing in the New Orleans office, she later opened the Firm's Covington office. Currently, she manages the Covington office which has grown to 8 attorneys. Ms. Baumgartner has been a member of numerous bar organizations including the Covington, New Orleans and Louisiana bar associations. She serves on the Nominating and Legislation committees for the Louisiana State Bar Association. She has served as a hearing officer for the Louisiana Disciplinary Board and is presently serving as a probation officer and fee dispute arbitrator. She has been active with the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and served as its president in 2004 and 2005. She is a member of the Association of Defense Attorneys serving on the Executive Board from 2002 to 2005. She also is active in the Defense Research Institute. She is presently serving on the Board of Directors for the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry. She previously served on the Executive Council for LABI. Ms. Baumgartner has lectured for the Louisiana Association of Defense Council and the Louisiana State Bar Association, as well as in-house to various insurance companies. She received her B.A. degree, cum laude, from Newcomb College of Tulane University, and her J.D. degree from Tulane University School of Law in 1978. MARK L. CLARK serves as Managing Shareholder of Brown Sims, P.C., in New Orleans. His practice focuses on the defense of insurers in coverage and bad faith disputes in the state of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. While Mr. Clark's practice covers almost every type of insurance dispute, he has developed significant experience in coverage disputes centered around maritime policies in the offshore industry. They include the analysis and defense of primary and excess carriers in Hull, P&I, Collision and Towers, Maritime Employers Liability and Wreck Removal coverage. Insurance disputes concerning employers liability, auto liability and general liability issues have also become a regular part of Mr. Clark's usual practice. He enjoys all aspects of the insurance practice. Mr. Clark earned his B.A. degree from Abilene Christian University and his J.D. degree from South Texas College of Law. TIMOTHY K. LAMY is a partner in the New Orleans law firm of Barker, Boudreaux, Lamy and Foley, P.L.C., where he practices in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, product liability, maritime personal injury and civil litigation from the plaintiff's perspective. Mr. Lamy has spoken for various professional groups on uninsured and underinsured motorist law, insurance coverage issues and bad faith litigation. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern, Middle and Western districts of Louisiana, as well as before the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Lamy also has been admitted pro hac vice to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. He is a member of the Louisiana State and Federal bar associations, the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice. Mr. Lamy earned his B.A. degree from the University of New Orleans and his J.D. degree from Loyola University. ROBERT C. STERN is the managing partner in the New Orleans office of Killeen & Stern, PC, where he divides his practice between civil and criminal defense. Mr. Stern concentrates his practice on maritime and general casualty defense with emphasis on risk management. He has lectured on criminal law, speaking at continuing legal education seminars on criminal sentencing in Louisiana; the criminal trial in Louisiana from start to finish; and young lawyers preparing for their first civil trial. Mr. Stern has handled multiple criminal cases receiving extensive media coverage, including second degree murder and police corruption cases. A cum laude graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, he earned his J.D. degree from Loyola University. From 1993 to 1995, Mr. Stern served as a special prosecutor for St. Tammany Parish District Attorney's Office. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
