KAREN M. DICKE is a sole practitioner in New Orleans, where she practices in the areas of subrogation, commercial litigation, directors' and officers' liability, errors and omissions, insurance coverage and employment discrimination. She has been practicing law for more than 15 years. Ms. Dicke has lectured to various professionals on legal writing, human resources, insurance law and employment discrimination. LAVENDER is a litigator with The Cochran Firm in Metairie, Louisiana. She has focused her practice on medical malpractice since 1985. She is a member of the Louisiana Association for Justice, the New Orleans and Louisiana State Bar Associations and the Association of Women Attorneys. Ms. Lavender has spoken to legal professionals on medical malpractice and a myriad of other litigation-related topics. She earned her B.A. degree, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas and her J.D. degree from Loyola University, New Orleans School of Law. PATRICK H. PATRICK is a partner in the New Orleans firm of Patrick Miller LLC, where he practices in the areas of maritime law, insurance litigation and regulation, commercial litigation, administrative law, workers' compensation defense, and intellectual property litigation. Mr. Patrick is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Maritime Law Association of the U.S., the Association of Average Adjusters of the U.S., the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, and the Defense Research Institute. He is a member of the Executive Board of the International Propeller Club and past president of the Propeller Club of the United States Port of New Orleans. He earned his B.A. degree, magna cum laude, from the University of South Alabama and his J.D. degree from Tulane University of Louisiana, where he was articles editor of the Tulane Law Review.
