TODD J. BIALOUS is owner of the Bialous Law Firm, L.L.C., where he focuses his practice in medical malpractice, professional negligence, defective and dangerous products, unsafe premises, insurance disputes and bad faith claims handling, contract breaches, employer/employee disputes, commercial trucking, recreational vehicle and personal motor vehicle collisions, and other forms of catastrophic injury or loss due to fault or neglect. He earned his B.A. degree from the University of Notre Dame in Indiana and his J.D. degree at Tulane Law School in New Orleans, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board, the Tulane Criminal Clinic, and a recipient of the CALI Excellence for the Future Award. Mr. Bialous is a member of the New Orleans Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, as well as the American Association for Justice, and the Louisiana Association for Justice (LAJ). He is an active member of LAJ's Medical Malpractice Section and authors a column entitled "Trends in Medical Malpractice" in Louisiana Advocates, a monthly newsletter published by the Association. Mr. Bialous frequently lectures to legal professionals on litigation techniques, trial skills, and settlement strategies. KATHRYN M. CARAWAY is a partner in the New Orleans law firm of Caraway LeBlanc, L.L.C., where she focuses her practice in medical malpractice. She received her B.A. degree from Tulane University of Louisiana and her J.D. degree from Loyola Law School. Ms. Caraway is a member of the Louisiana Hospital Association and the Louisiana Bar Association. RICHARD T. GALLAGHER JR. is a partner in the Gallagher Law Firm in Metairie, where his practice is focused in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, and commercial litigation. He has spoken to a variety of professional groups, including the Louisiana State and New Orleans bar associations, on matters related to his practice. Mr. Gallagher earned his B.B.S. degree, cum laude, from Loyola University and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, at Tulane University of Louisiana, where he was Order of the Coif. He is a member of the Louisiana State (chair, Health Law Section) and American (past co-chair, Unfair Trade Practices Subcommittee) bar associations. PHILIP E. RESO is an attorney in the law firm of Cowan & Lemmon, L.L.P., where he focuses his practice in the defense of medical malpractice claims He has successfully litigated cases for emergency medicine physicians, ophthalmologists, orthopedic surgeons, and dentists. His civil litigation background includes automotive liability, premises liability, and worker's compensation. Mr. Reso earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Loyola University. Following graduation from law school, he served as a judicial law clerk for the 24th Judicial District Court for the Parish of Jefferson Division. Mr. Reso also served as an assistant district attorney for the Parish of New Orleans, where he prosecuted many felony bench and jury trials. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, New Orleans Association of Defense Counsel, and the New Orleans Bar Association.
