MARK L. CLARK is the managing shareholder in Brown Sims, P.C. His practice focuses on the defense of insurers in coverage and bad faith disputes in the state of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. While Mr. Clark's practice covers almost every type of insurance dispute, he has developed significant experience in coverage disputes centered around maritime policies in the offshore industry. The analysis and defense of primary and excess carriers in Hull, P&I, Collision and Towers, Maritime Employers Liability and Wreck Removal coverage and bad faith actions are a regular part of Mr. Clark's practice in addition to insurance disputes concerning employers liability and general liability actions. Mr. Clark earned his B.A. degree from Abilene Christian University and his J.D. degree from South Texas College of Law. GREGORY P. DiLEO is a sole practitioner in New Orleans. Mr. DiLeo has been an attorney for more than 30 years and practices in the areas of personal injury, products liability, wrongful death and medical malpractice. He is a member of the American Association for Justice, the Louisiana Association for Justice, and the American, Louisiana State, New Orleans and National Italian American bar associations. Mr. DiLeo earned his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Louisiana State University and A. and M. College. MARK D. KUSS is a sole practitioner in Louisiana, where his main areas of practice are civil litigation, personal injury and domestic law. He has taught at the college level for 25 years and is currently teaching at Our Lady of Holy Cross College. Mr. Kuss earned his B.A. degree from the University of New Orleans, his J.D. degree from Tulane University, his M.A. degree from the University of New Orleans and is currently a doctoral student at Louisiana State University. He is a member of the Louisiana State and American bar associations. DAVID A. STRAUSS is an experienced litigator, concentrating his practice on the representation of insurers in bad faith litigation, catastrophe/mass tort defense, insurance fraud claims and insurance coverage matters. He also has experience handling maritime and oilfield personal injury litigation and commercial disputes. Mr. Strauss joined King, Krebs, & Jurgens, P.L.L.C. in 1998 and now serves on the firm's management committee. His insurance practice is broad and varied. Mr. Strauss has represented national insurers and their insureds (individual and commercial) in claims regarding: mass joinder and class actions related to insurance coverage, first party property damage and personal injury, third party property damage and personal injury, business interruption coverage, commercial general liability, condominium association and agent procurement issues. He has handled every manner of first party and third party insurance fraud cases, including: arson, theft and organized personal injury fraud rings. His casualty practice emphasizes serious and catastrophic injury cases. Mr. Strauss earned his B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Illinois and his J.D. degree from Tulane Law School. DEAN A. SUTHERLAND is of counsel with the law firm of Jeansonne & Remondet, where he practices in the areas of insurance, maritime and construction litigation. Mr. Sutherland is an adjunct professor at Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in insurance law and at the LSU Law Center in admiralty and maritime law and in advanced torts litigation. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Maritime Law Association of the United States, the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel and the Louisiana Bar Association. Mr. Sutherland earned his B.A. degree from Louisiana State University - New Orleans and his J.D. degree from LSU Law Center.
