LINDA LAW CLARK is a partner in the law firm of DeCuir, Clark & Adams, LLP. She is an experienced trial lawyer as well as a certified mediator. Her principal areas of practice are general civil litigation, administrative hearings for quasi-governmental and governmental bodies, education, employment and family law, and small business matters. She serves as arbiter in Baton Rouge City Court. She is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts. Ms. Clark earned her B.A. degree from Wells College and her J.D. degree from Louisiana State University Law School. She is a frequent lecturer and teacher on various areas of her practice. Ms. Clark is active in the American Bar Association, Louisiana State Bar Association (Access to Justice Committee Board member, former co-chair: 2000 to present), Baton Rouge Bar Association and Baton Rouge Woman Attorney's Association. DEBRA J. FISCHMAN is a member in the litigation section of Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert, L.L.C. She defends school districts and other governmental bodies and agencies, and private employers throughout the state of Louisiana in employment and professional liability matters consisting of wrongful termination, breach of contract, breach of tenure laws, retaliation, racial and gender discrimination, violations of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Age and Discrimination in Employment Act, Title VII (sexual, racial and gender discrimination and harassment), Title IX, and other wrongful acts; medical malpractice, toxic tort, commercial litigation, family law and premises liability. She has been admitted to practice in the State of Louisiana since 1978, and she has additionally been admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western districts of Louisiana; the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals; and the United States Supreme Court. She earned her B.S. degree, magna cum laude, from Newcomb University; and her J.D. degree from Tulane Law School. Ms. Fischman is a member of the Association of Women Attorneys; Louisiana State Bar Association, Labor and Employment Law Section; New Orleans Bar Association; Federal Bar Association; and Bar Association of the United States of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. She was named a Louisiana Super Lawyer in 2010 and 2011, a CityBusiness Women of the Year in 2010, and was listed in Chambers and Partners: Labor and Employment Law for 2010 and 2011.
JOANNE RINARDO is a partner at Deutsch, Kerrigan & Stiles, where her practice centers on employment and educational law. She is experienced handling claims involving Title VII, age discrimination, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, as well as general employment claims. Ms. Rinardo provides consultation to her clients on employment practices, provides training to employees regarding employment issues, develops employment policies, and assists employers with both single and large number terminations. Ms. Rinardo has a Ph.D. in Education and has taught graduate courses in educational law at the University of New Orleans. In her educational law practice, she has represented both small independent grammar, middle and high schools, as well as a large state university in all types of employment matters and student related issues. For almost 20 years, Ms. Rinardo worked as an administrator in the New Orleans Public Schools, during which time she supervised approximately 75 employees. During her tenure with the school system, she twice served on the management bargaining team that addressed the concerns of thousands of union employees. Ms. Rinardo is a graduate of the Loyola University School of Law, where she was a member of the Loyola Law Review. While attending Loyola, she won the Warren E. Mouledoux Award for ethics and earned the highest grade in both ethics and educational law. After graduating in 1995, she clerked for two years for the Honorable Moon Landrieu, 4th Circuit Court of Appeal, State of Louisiana.
