MARK L. CLARK is the managing shareholder in Brown Sims, P.C. His practice focuses on the defense of insurers in coverage and bad faith disputes in the state of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. While Mr. Clark's practice covers almost every type of insurance dispute, he has developed significant experience in coverage disputes centered around maritime policies in the offshore industry. The analysis and defense of primary and excess carriers in Hull, P&I, Collision and Towers, Maritime Employers Liability and Wreck Removal coverage and bad faith actions is a regular part of Mr. Clark's practice. Mr. Clark earned his B.A. degree from Abilene Christian University and his J.D. degree from South Texas College of Law. CELESTE R. COCO-EWING is a member of the New Orleans law firm of Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver, L.L.C., where she focuses her practice on commercial litigation, insurance coverage, securities arbitration, securities litigation and products liability. Ms. Coco-Ewing is involved in all aspects of complex litigation. She began her career as a litigation attorney at Stone, Pigman, Walther, Wittmann & Hutchinson, L.L.P. She is a co-author with Judy Y. Barrasso of "Federal Jurisdiction: Will Abbott Laboratories Federalize Diversity Class Actions?,"Com. & Bus. Litig. J. 15 (Winter 2000-2001). Ms. Coco-Ewing is a member of the Louisiana State, Federal and American bar associations. She earned her B.A. degree from Tulane University and her J.D. degree, summa cum laude, Order of the Coif, from Tulane University Law School and clerked for Judge James L. Dennis at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit . J. DANIEL PICOU is a partner in the Metairie law firm of Larzelere Picou Wells Simpson Lonero, LLC. Mr. Picou focuses his practice in insurance counseling and litigation, and also works in the areas of marine, energy, and non-marine. He has previously lectured on various insurance issues to clients and other organizations within Louisiana and Texas. Mr. Picou earned his B.A. degree from Tulane University and also received his J.D. degree from Tulane University. He is a member of the Louisiana State and American bar associations, the State Bar of Texas, The Maritime Law Association of The United States, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, and the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute.
