LANE N. BENNETT is the managing member of Bennett Law Firm. He is also a national agent for a major national title insurance company in Baton Rouge. His practice primarily consists of examining real estate titles, real estate closings, contracts, successions and commercial transactional work. Mr. Bennett has spoken at real estate seminars for local area lenders, real estate professionals and the public. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi, and J.D. degree from Louisiana State University. Mr. Bennett is a member of the Louisiana State and American bar associations, and the Louisiana Land Title Association. KATHRYN B. LaROSE is an attorney in the Baron Rouge law office of McGlinchey Stafford PLLC. Ms. LaRose assists clients in corporate and real estate transactions. Her experience includes commercial leasing, land sales, land use and zoning regulation, corporate formation, corporate dissolution, and government transactions. Ms. LaRose is admitted to practice in Louisiana and before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. She earned her B.A. degree from Louisiana University and B.C.L. and J.D. degrees from Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center. Ms. LaRose is a member of the Baton Rouge Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, Form 35, International Council of Shopping Centers, Louisiana Law Review, and the Louisiana State Bar Association. CLAIBORNE P. TANNER is of counsel in the Baton Rouge law office of Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz, PC, where he is a member of the real estate group. Mr. Tanner provides advice and counsel on all aspects of real estate development and investing, including land acquisition and due diligence, land use and zoning issues, construction, financing (senior and mezzanine debt financing), sales and marketing, condominium filings, loan workouts and tenant leasing, and other landlord-related matters. He is skilled in the negotiation and preparation of various real estate related agreements, including letters of intent, purchase agreements, development agreements, loan documentation, construction contracts and commercial and residential leases. Prior to joining Baker Donelson, Mr. Tanner served as general counsel and associate general counsel for several national and international developers, including the largest privately-held condominium converter and a high-rise condominium developer with projects in the South Florida and Las Vegas markets. He received his B.S. degree from Louisiana State University and his J.D. degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University. Mr. Tanner has held a Florida real estate salesperson license since 2004. He is a member of Urban Land Institute and Greater Miami United Way Young Leaders. He was also named a finalist in Daily Business Review's Top Dealmakers of 2007 for South Florida.
