DENISE N. AKERS is a member in the law firm of Akers & Wisbar, L.L.C., where she focuses her practice in family law, divorce, adoptions, child custody, child support, property divisions, Qualified Domestic Relations Orders (QDROs), interdictions, commercial law, collections, banking, wills, successions, and insurance defense. Ms. Akers received her B.S. degree, cum laude, from Louisiana State University in 1982, and her J.D. degree from Louisiana State University - Paul M. Hebert Law School in 1985. She is a frequent lecturer on her areas of practice and has lectured for Louisiana State University, National Business Institute, Service Corps of Retired Executives, and others. She is a member of the Baton Rouge (president, Family Law Section, 2004) and Louisiana State bar associations and the Louisiana Bankers Association. MARCUS T. FOOTE is an attorney with Kuehne Foote & Gaudin, APLC, where he practices exclusively in the area of family law. His primary focus is on community property and retirement/pension divisions. He has been board certified in the area of family law by the Louisiana Board of Specialization since January 2002. He is a past president of the Baton Rouge Bar Association (Family Law Section) as well as a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association (Family Law section). Mr. Foote earned his B.A. degree, with Honors, from the Louisiana Scholars' College Regents Program located at Northwestern State University, and his J.D. degree from Louisiana State University Law Center. While attending Northwestern State, he won the National Collegiate Debate Tournament for the Junior Division (2 years experience and under) and was 32nd out of 220 teams in the National Open Division Tournament. Mr. Foote instructs a National Business Institute CLE each year on Forensic Accounting and Retirement Division Issues. JEFFREY S. WITTENBRINK is an attorney in the Rowe Law Firm, where he focuses his practice in family law, insurance, and general civil litigation. He received his B.A. degree from Louisiana State University in 1984 and his J.D. degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Louisiana State University in 1987. He is Board Certified in Family Law by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Wittenbrink is a member of the Baton Rouge (Volunteer Indigent Panel, 1989-2007; chair, Family Law Section, 2002; Ex Officio Board Member, 2002) and Louisiana State (member, Justice Committee, 2006) bar associations.
