JOHN C. ANDERSON is principal of the Anderson Firm, LLC, where he concentrates in bankruptcy and debtor-creditor law. Mr. Anderson's practice includes corporate and business law, and commercial litigation, with a predominate emphasis on bankruptcy reorganization law and commercial litigation. His bankruptcy reorganization representation includes debtors, creditors and banks, and his special orientation is to business reorganization under Chapter 11. Mr. Anderson wrote Chapter 11 Reorganization (Shepard's/McGraw-Hill, 1983), co-wrote Chapter 12 Farm Reorganizations (Shepard's/McGraw-Hill, 1987) and is a contributing author of Bankruptcy Practice And Strategy (Warren, Gorham & Lamont, 1987). He has written more than 20 law review articles on creditors' rights and remedies, and bankruptcy law. Mr. Anderson also has spoken on the legal issues in these areas of the law at more than 50 seminars for the bar associations of Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas; for various law schools, including LSU, Loyola, Southern Mississippi, Kentucky, Missouri, Texas and Texas Tech; and for professional seminar companies. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association (past chairman, past council member, Corporate and Business Law Section) and the American Bankruptcy Institute. Mr. Anderson earned his B.A. degree from Louisiana State University and his J.D. degree from Louisiana State University Law School, where he was a member of the Louisiana Law Review. THOMAS H. GRAY is owner of Thomas H. Gray Attorney, Attorney at Law. His offices have been in Slidell, Louisiana since 1975. He is now a sole practitioner, formerly with the firm of Smith Walters and Gray. Mr. Gray served as assistant city attorney for the city of Slidell and later served as assistant district attorney for St. Tammany Parish from 1999 to 2001. Mr. Gray has practiced Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy law since 1977 in the Eastern District of Louisiana. He now limits his practice to Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. Mr. Gray is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. He earned his B.S. and J.D. degrees from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. KEVIN K. GIPSON is an attorney in the Law Offices of Kevin K. Gipson, where he practices in the areas of bankruptcy; successions; wills and estates; personal injury; divorce; custody and support; and business law. Mr. Gipson earned his B.A. degree from the University of New Orleans and his J.D. degree from Loyola University School of Law. Mr. Gipson is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys (NACBA), the Bankruptcy Law Network, and the Mortgage Law Network. EVAN PARK HOWELL III is a sole practitioner, with his law office in Metairie, Louisiana. In 1988, Mr. Howell began his broad bankruptcy practice when he clerked for the Honorable T.H. Kingsmill, Jr., U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana. In 1990, Mr. Howell began his private law practice. Since then he has handled a range of bankruptcy matters for Chapter 11 debtors in possession; creditors' committees; debtors for Chapters 7 and 13; secured creditors; banks and financial institutions; unsecured creditors; and Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees. Mr. Howell has also practiced in-house as associate general bank counsel for a multi-state bank. He has practiced before the U.S. Supreme Court; five federal courts of appeals; and bankruptcy courts in New York, New Jersey, Delaware, South Carolina, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Illinois, Colorado, Montana, and Washington. He has been qualified as an expert witness for bankruptcy law and procedure in a federal district court. Mr. Howell has served and been appointed as a private mediator and arbitration judge. He has lectured on bankruptcy law for continuing legal education seminars, private clients, and for Tulane University's paralegal program and business school. He balances his bankruptcy law practice with collections, commercial transactions and construction litigation. ROBERT L. MARRERO is a sole practitioner in New Orleans, where he focuses his practice on Chapters 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases; probate; and general civil litigation. He has previously lectured on civil rights at continuing legal education programs and has guest lectured at the Loyola University Law School. He also is a frequent lecturer for local bar associations on bankruptcy issues. In Mr. Marrero's 30 years of bankruptcy experience, he has handled nearly every type of bankruptcy case and procedure. He was also a Chapter 7 and 11 Trustee for more than 11 years. Mr. Marrero earned his B.A. degree from Louisiana State University and his J.D. degree from Louisiana State University Law School. He is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association. MONICA M. MENIER has been clerk of court for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Louisiana since 2004 and served as chief deputy for 12 years prior to that. She has served on national working groups, including the Bankruptcy Noticing Working Group, EPA Working Group and the CM/ECF Working Group. Ms. Menier served on the board of governors of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Clerks for two years. She graduated, cum laude, from Louisiana State University with a B.S. degree in business and public administration. SHARRY I. SANDLER is owner of The Law Office of Sharry I. Sandler in New Orleans. Ms. Sandler focuses her practice in consumer bankruptcy and family law, and also offers a wide variety of other services. She holds a B.A. degree from Tulane University, a J.D. degree from Loyola University Law School, and an M.B.A. from the University of New Orleans. Ms. Sandler has previously mentored law students on bankruptcy law. She is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the New Orleans Bar Association.
