ROBERTO A. CONTRERAS practices in the areas of unsecured collections, foreclosures and creditors' rights law as a partner in D'Aquila, Volk, Mullins & Contreras, A Professional Law Corporation. He earned his B.A. and M.B.A. degrees from Loyola University and his J.D. degree from Santa Maria University, Panama City, Panama. GRODSKY is a partner in the law firm of Taggart Morton, L.L.C., where he practices in the areas of creditors' rights, banking law, bankruptcy, lender liability and commercial litigation. Mr. Grodsky has practiced in the area of banking law over the past 25 years and has represented national, regional and local financial institutions in a wide variety of matters. He has given more than 60 lectures with accompanying writings and articles, specifically in the area of bankruptcy law and also lectures on a regular basis in other areas of banking law. Additionally, Mr. Grodsky teaches undergraduate courses including business law, bankruptcy law and business structures at Tulane University and the University of New Orleans, as well as being actively engaged in teaching and training for financial institution clients. He earned his B.B.A. degree, with honors, from the University of Texas and his J.D. degree from Tulane University of Louisiana. Mr. Grodsky is a member of the New Orleans Bar Association (Committee on Bankruptcy Law, Debtors' Rights and Creditor's Remedies, former chairman). DAVID S. MOYER is owner of David S. Moyer LLC, where his practice is concentrated in the areas of bankruptcy, workouts, business litigation and collections. He earned his B.A., M.S. and J.D. degrees from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa. Mr. Moyer is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Louisiana Bar Foundation, the American Bankruptcy Institute and Child Advocacy Services, Inc. (president, board of directors). RONALD J. VEGA is an attorney in the law firm of D'Aquila, Volk, Mullins & Contreras A Professional Law Corporation. Mr. Vega currently practices in the areas of estate planning, bankruptcy litigation, commercial litigation, and real estate foreclosures. His representative client list includes banking institutions and commercial and retail property owners. He was admitted to practice in the State of Louisiana in 1977. He was admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court in 1978. He was admitted to practice in the United State District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana in 1980. Mr. Vega graduated from the University of New Orleans, Louisiana in 1973, received a Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola University, New Orleans in 1977, and received his LL.M. degree, in taxation, from the University of Miami, Florida in 1978. Mr. Vega is a member of the Louisiana State and Jefferson Parish bar associations. He is a Judge Pro Tempore, First Parish Court, Parish of Jefferson, State of Louisiana, a member of the Board of Directors of the East Jefferson General Hospital Foundation (chairman 2007 & 2008), and prior chairman of the Jefferson Parish Notarial Commission. Mr. Vega has lectured in the areas of real estate law, foreclosure, bankruptcy matters, and estate planning.
